No love for the first 9 game winner
Has anyone noticed that there is ABSOLUTELY no article that mentions this. Furthermore, all I heard on ESPN this morning as I got ready for work was Joba and his bid to fit into that oh so mediocre. Why must the media be so biased??? This really chaps my hide. I know for certain that if Saunders (the colonel) were to play for the Stankees or the RedSuckers there would be repeats of last nights game over and over and over. Someone please enlighten me on the possible good excuse the media might have as to why there is no news on the AL's first NINE GAME WINNER.

seems to fall in line with the general lack of love for our halos.
Casey Kotchman not being in the top five vote getters for starting AL all-star firtbasemen is another fine example .

this time
it is embarrassing … ESPN of course has no shame, but the failure of a Yankee prospect to perform being NEWS ahead of a young phenom leading the league in wins? Hey, I am happy, as the proprietor of a news and entertainment vehicle, the industry leader is not mooching off my story … helps my numbers for sure.

I was watching Sportscenter this morning
before I went to work to see the highlights of the game. They did mentioned it during the highlights, but it was almost as if it was a mention in passing.
I did see that Yahoo had a story about him being the first 9 game winner in the AL
Here is theLINK. It is actually a story from theLA Daily News

There's no flash and no bullhorns blown
but there are stories: link 1, link 2.
I didn’t see anything actually on ESPN about it, but the latter link came from Joe Saunder’s e-card there.

a little off topic, but
did anyone hear Hud calling the Colonel “cocky”? Just wondering as I picture Joe as quite the opposite of this.

I know he has clammy hands...

jeez did that post incorrectly...
sweaty palms was what I meant to write.
Hud probably was talking about the Halos and their “swagger.” A common Hud-ism.

I thought Hud said
He had the “swagger”, not that he was cocky.

Actually, I think there is some cockiness in Saunders...
I tell you right now…on the mound he looks like a young John Lackey…only better than a young John Lackey! He has a great attitude, competes well, and doesn’t let shit that Lackey used to let bother him get to him!
I love the presence he takes to the mound. He has the demeanor to be our #2 behind Lackey…something I originally thought Weaver might have, but he has proven me quite wrong!
This is bad Vlad and his band of wimps!

One reason why nobody was particularly interested
There was already a 10-game winner in the majors in the person of Brandon Webb.
