Has to be Big John.
Important first game against the division rival nipping out our heels, and he flat out performs.
The Hunt for a Red October ...and please keep telling Clutch to chill!
Lackey
pitched a great game.
...Props to Izzy, too! For his lead-off HR and awesome D.
Hud: "Get 'em on, Get 'em over, Get 'em in"
Big Thunder and his Mountain of (ahem)
... whatever he rubs on the ball. Lackey was awesome.
No. 2. Boy King
No. 3 Hondo
No. 4 Frankie
Great win. Let’s go for some more broomage.
Don't call me Desmond
Lackey easy
Izzy second…..great defensively all game…....and started off the game right with the big fly….set the tone…...
i root for teams that lack offense! go halos and bills!

gotta go with lackey
he was dominating
Who goofed? I've got to know.
Lackey dominates. Again.
Guy’s so money against the A’s that it’s almost unfair. Mice Tits is on fiyah, bat and glove. Took him a little while to get going but he looks like our little Mighty Mouse again. Remember that GS he smashed at the Big A last season? Came out of nowhere, just like the leadoff shot tonight.
Look at AN trying to copy your schtick Rev. Posers.
Please go away Justin Speier. Your work here is done. And take Quinlan's half-inch fielding radius with you.
haha at the Gibson pic though....thats a tough one to swallow....

Toss up
Can’t lose with either Lackey or Izzy. Lackey was lights out and pitched a gem, but big props to Izzy for both glove and bat.
YOU DON'T KNOW THE POWER OF THE DARKSIDE.....
BTW

Who should I believe?
Gubbie says there is more to come in the West vs. the A’ss, and JohnKr* said during the ninth tonight that it is done in the West.
Pyzdiot to break the tie?

Frankie
Did I hear correctly that he just tied his own franchise record for consecutive saves? If not, then maybe Thunder Mountain.
Yup
22 consecutive converted save opportunities. The loss he took on 5/15 vs. CWS was not a save opp because he entered the game in a 3-3 tie.
Frankie sucks. Let’s dump him.

I’ll dissent and pick the less obvious choice for Panther.
i say panther is
the angels fan that we sat with in right field bleachers tonight. he was the shit! in between each inning, he would stand up and just turn around. A’s fans would yell shit at him, but he just kept standing and smiling. going into the bottom of the ninth, he started walking up the stairs, and gave a few of us fellow angels fans pounds, then kept going up. a bunch of rowdy a’s fans started yelling at him, saying “thats right, get the eff out of here!” so the guy stops, turns around, and watches krod get the save, right underneath the a’s fans that were yelling at him. needless to say, he was my freakin’ hero for the night, and i almost wish he is a poster here, so that i can say thank you for being so freakin’ awesome.
lol. anyway, i’d give panther to Thunder Mountain for sure. nobody could touch him tonight, with the exception of mr. “either a homer, walk, or K” cust.
"Here we go baby, 'bout f***'n' time!"
i hope you had his back in the parking lot
cheers from the safety of socal to you
brave crimson warrior of righteousness
for we know the only true A in the west
has a halo around it
Who goofed? I've got to know.
i was just trolling at AN
reading the posts from their second thread
much respect/fear for lackey
arrendondo(sp?) not known
only comment was “they’re bringing in a guy with a lower ERA (than lackey)”
much hate/fear for frankie
they seem to dislike his heavenward pointing after a save
in my mind, that’s his way of giving God the glory for the feat
how can that be deemed egotistical?
damned pagans
at least they posted enough to need a second thread unlike detroit
the funniest thing i read there was that they thought that their hitters
should swing at more FIRST pitches
instead of waiting for a walk
the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence
Who goofed? I've got to know.
wisest words ever posted here:

That's one reason why Lackey is so tits against Oakland
He knows they’re taking strike one, so he throws it. Genius!
It also shows why extremism in the cause of game strategy is no virtue. When the opposition flat-out knows what yr gonna do in a given situation, you have just given them the sword. One of many good things about Scioscia is that the only for-sure game strategy he’ll employ is the contact play, which is something the pitcher can’t really do anything about (and which forces the other side to execute).
hey, check this out.
if you look at the replay of mice-tits lead off homer, you can see some people in red (and one in a home jersey) about 6 or 7 rows back, stand up to cheer. That would be, from left to right, angels4adam, myself, and halosFORlife.
haha. sorry, i just thought this was pretty cool!
