This weekend series ovbiously showed who the better team is. Angels play the game the right way, play flawless baseball, and take advantage of every mistake the opposing team makes. I came away very impressed and A's were very lucky to avoid the sweep. On the flipside, my A's will go through their growing pains in a rebuilding yr. Angels are definitely an elite level team, while the A's i'd say rank among the top 2nd tier teams. Both teams should at least expect to get better w/ so many injuries and reinforcments on the way. Angels w/ Figgins, Escobar, etc A's with Thomas, a couple relievers, etc. Should be an entertaining and fun summer, but you guys definitely are the lock of the division. myabe an outside hope of 2 westcoast teams, but unlikely. because i know we all cant stand those chicago announcers and more east coast hype nonsense. definitely by 09/10 and beyond this will be a closer matchup. but before then angels might have won a couple world series

PS: not really baseball related, but w/ the angels bias aside, dont you agree lackey is one of the more unfortunate looking athletes you have ever seen? something about his face looks off. he sure can pitch thats all that matters. anyways, good luck the rest of the season, please beat down the other AL's potential wildcard teams

dude, what are you talking about. “reasonable baseball discussion”? Just because the angels dont lick the ass of sabermetrics doesnt mean its not legit baseball. Dont get me wrong, i love sabermetrics. i think they are great. but the angels dont use them, you can succeed by embracing defense and pitching, which the angels have. deal with it

Okay, I'm going to open my big mouth...

and open myself up for a smack down. What’s with all of the bitching? I came to this site to bask in the glory of Angels baseball, but all it seems that goes on here is complaining and negative comments. After living in Anaheim for almost 40 years and being an Angels fan since 1971 I moved to the wasteland of Wisconsin where I’m surrounded by people who think beer is a basic food group, and the only use for toothbrushes is for cleaning their shotguns. Anytime I wear my Angels hat (which is almost everyday) I get taunted with ”’82 baby!” So, I thought it’d be cool to be able to read and “talk” with other fans about how great the team is doing, and what improvements need to be made in a positive way, instead of “he sucks”, or “you’re an idiot”. And now, when a rival team’s fan posts something good about the Angels, he gets called a drunk. By the way, Lackey is a ugly dude, but I’d rather see him on the mound than 95% of the other pitchers in MLB.

Sorry Rev, just getting frustrated with the recent coments.

The toothbrush comment was wrong. I moved from Anaheim to a very small town here in WI, and I over generalized the population. There are many cool people here, and many do have good dental hygene and now I feel bad about what I wrote. Sorry.

Fans of the various Mariner blogs are very friendly and willing to talk baseball with anyone … so are Giant fans … Ranger fans are fine, too … hell, even the Rev can be pleasant, as long as he’s posting somewhere other than this blog … but, I don’t know, for whatever reason HH attracts only Angel fans who were picked on as little children and decided to take their anger out on the world, first by tormenting insects and small animals as a child and later, by being thoroughly miserable to everyone they meet … except for others with whom they enjoy sharing their misery …
