Radio Daze

My take on KLAA's Dave Smith and rest of L.A. radio.

http://thecolumnists.com/fox/fox66.html

Just caught Smith's act between the helmets at the stadium. Cool guy in real life. Hardly into himself. So you wonder how he made it in the biz.

Hope the AM 830 signal picks up. We get it easily in OC, but friends in the Valley have no chance. And they're dying to hear Dave's Man Card Violation act.

And is Smith a workaholic or what? Morning show, drive time in the aft. He never quits.

Wait till the Angels land in the World Series. Smith will rise to national Angel voice.

no offense but anyone on ghetto am 830 has not made it in the biz. arte’s a dipshit for underfunding/underpowering the station. he looks like an amateur when it comes to broadcast media.

i had to buy an mlb radio account just to make up for his cheap lazy don’t know how to market a team ass.

buy a godammed tower dude.

my signature sucks

This post is awesome on so many levels

Go to Forbes.com and check out the franchise valuations for the last few years. No team in baseball has increased % wise as much as the Angels have.

Seattle I would like to thank you for sucking. It allows me to get back to my roots: Hating Fremont.

great he makes money

that doesn’t mean changing the team name to la and then buying some station that barely transmits there is smart… tell me that’s not amateur broadcast media marketing

just buy a fucking tower on mullholland

my signature sucks

Not That Easy

you can’t just decide to put up a different radio tower whenever and wherever you want.

KLAA has a stronger overall signal than KSPN, but its coverage area is a bit different.

sure

the difference is that one transmits in the area he claims he wants to market to and put 830 billboards up all over… in april i saw some near thousand oaks off the 101 hahahahaha

fucking brilliant yeah?

my signature sucks

Pick Your Poison

I don’t get 710 at night where I live (Pasadena), but I do get 830. There are tradeoffs. Neither station is perfect for everyone.

A good portion of the franchise value is based on...............................

NAME BRAND VALUE

You build that through…..................................marketing.
