2008 All Star Game in Las Vegas Trip

So who's planning on attending? Last years trip was a blast. Projected temps are :100, 102, 104.. Which as strange as it seems, is pretty nice for Las Vegas in July.

One question for the Rev: Where exactly is the Griffin Bar? I know thats the first place we meet on Monday night, but I have no clue where it is located.

Has anyone looked up betting lines for the game yet? Are we sharing betting strategies or is it everyone for themselves?

Only a couple more days left. I hope the Gold Spike has extra slot techs scheduled for our impending visit.

For what it's worth

I’m thinking the NL is a good value bet. Of course I haven’t seen a line yet, but the AL team doesn’t quite seem as strong in the past.

I am so ready for this trip!! I have to call the airline today and change my flight to an earlier one to leave OC.. they changed my schedule at work, so I can get on the earlier flight and arrive in Vegas by 7pm.. A friend is coming over to take care of my dogs while I’m gone, so that’s covered, but I’ve still got to work out how my friends are going to get there, since I can’t sit for 5 hours in a car with my knee acting up. Hope one of them has a car that will make the trip, cause having them there will be a BLAST!!!

Yes, that damn knee is acting up again, and the Tuesday AFTER the game I get to find out what type of surgery they’ll be doing. Oh well.. only 4 more days until I’m in Vegas… works for me!!!!!!!!!!!

Is anyone driving that could

accept a couple people as passengers??? They are willing to split the cost for gas, etc. These are my friends from Disneyland, and the 3rd person that was gonna come and drive can’t come now, and the other two don’t have a car that will make the trip.

They both are off work on Monday before 3:30, and can be ready to leave anytime after that..
