Dallas McPherson
So I looked up Dallas' stats today to see how he was doing. Well in 85 games and 293 ABs at AAA .300/.406/.689 with 32 Homeruns. He also stuck out 103 times. Hasn't got a call up from the minors yet, but I'm feeling remorse for letting him go. What is he on pace for, 60 homeruns? Dang. He also homered in 6 straight games in June.
Good news is he's a free agent at the end of the year. Maybe we should pick him up and give him another shot.

B. Wood
We don’t need Mcpherson as we already have a third baseman in the minors who hits for power but strikes out too much.

Wood doesn't hit homeruns like DMAC does but he sure K's as much

He hits as many homers.
He’s behind because he spent a month with the big-league club.

DMac vs. Wood
DMac has hit way more HR than Wood in the majors. DMac is a proven power hitter, his health is the only question.

D-Mac
has a lot more ML playing time than wood and was a year older than Wood is right now the first time he got called up.

D-Mac hit WAY more home runs to start his MLB career than wood did in as many at bats
D-Mac is a WAY WAY better HITTER than B-WOOD.
Put Kendry Morales at 1B, and move Sean Rodriguez to 3B......NOW LETS GO WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WAY more?
He hit 3 vs Brandon’s 1 in around 40 PA during their first cup of coffee.. He may be a WAY WAY better hitter right now, but he’s also 5 years older than Wood. And as I already pointed out, Wood was 22 when he first got called up, while D-Mac was 24, i.e. a year OLDER than Wood is right now.

D-Mac did pretty well when he was healthy.

I remember that one game...
sarcasm, yes, but really, his walk off HR against the CWS was pretty sweet. Hit the batter’s eye area around 20 feet from me.

dont care
chone figgins is our 3rd baseman

Yeah
I can’t see Figgins returning to a roving role again. He’s established. That’s why Wood’s better to have the D-Mac. He can play short too. Not that Aybar or Izturis are much easier to displace.
I swear, if one more person tells me to "work smarter, not harder"...

McPherson can play OF.......Sean Rodriguez can play 2B, SS, and OF. and is more proven than B-Wood in the MLB

Not to give him a look after surgery was foolish
There has to be more to the whole contract getting pulled story.

I agree. I don't understand why they would stick with him through rehab and cut him loose once he was possibly healthy.
You’d think that you’d find a why to keep him on the 40-man roster just to see if you can finally get something out of him.

Or even keep him on the 25-man roster if he was out of options.
He couldn’t have been any worse of a backup than Quinlan. And he has what Q does not, a potential upside.
