WHO?
Kendry isn’t gonna be in the outfield, and first base has to be Kotchman’s bag. So he’s a man without a plan unless he’s got a big enough stick to DH, and as we all know, in the Mike Scioscia Angels plan, the DH is a retirement home for Vlad, GA, and whoever else meets the requirement of “aging star” or “overpaid”.
Witty .sig goes here.

it was mostly a joke, but with serious undertones
he’s a heck of a talent to let rot away in AAA. the guy needs a starting role somewhere in the bigs

I thought it was stealing Acuda's mantra...
of “if only GA would be injured…then Kendry could play…”

I'm not sure I agree with your wording,
but the end result sounds interesting.

The only thing I worry about is the cumulative rust effect on Rivera's glove
Right now he is very un-good at fielding, but the big question is how much that can he get back? GA’s got really good D in Left, and if Juan is a big enough drop-off it might not be worth it.

Rust can be cleaned up.......
I believe JRivera is a very good fielder when he’s “grown up”. Sometimes, he has a tendency to “hot dog snap” at relatively easy catches…...he did last week resulting in an unnecessary error. He’s not incorrigably bad at it, but it’s a part of his game. If he were to eliminate that habit, I would rest easier in my chair while watching a player I believe should be starting for the Angels in the outfield.

Yeah, rust can
but it’s whether the shin injury permanently affected his range. His hitting power certainly hasn’t been, but his ability to run flat-out might have been compromised.
