Shields holds 'em.

by cardinalwraith on Jul 2, 2008 3:14 PM PDT   0 recs

the offense is better the last two days but

-we can’t throw base stealers out
-our defense has been shaky
—we don’t steal bases anymore

then again, we doing okay to say the least

Angels in 08!

by tanana40 on Jul 2, 2008 3:15 PM PDT   0 recs

Good starting pitching fixes everything.

Or at least, it comes close.

by Zu Long on Jul 2, 2008 3:15 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

I think the inability of both Nipples and Jeffy to throw out runners is particularly disturbing.

...and surprising, considering this is a Mike Scioscia team.

Problem is ...

Soth can’t throw the ball for ‘em

by highlandhalo on Jul 2, 2008 3:16 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

ty

Weaver is especially bad at getting to the plate quickly.

Garland and Sanders are really the only ones that are even average at holding runners.

Santana and Lackey are in the slightly below average category.

by MH252525 on Jul 2, 2008 3:17 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

And the relief core isn't much better

Oliver is really the only one I’d rank as good.

if we continue scoring runs at more than 1 per 37 innings

and we’re winning, i’m cool with the ocassional error.

i believe our defense is still best in the league

Mike Scioscia: He provides to unlike method of your team member.

Talking about the rooster sauce made me hungry

Anyone here had a barbacoa fajita burrito and Chipotle? Now those are good, although I haven’t added the rooster to it yet, only the chiptole tabasco sauce they have.

by MH252525 on Jul 2, 2008 3:16 PM PDT   0 recs

Those are both awesome

But try going down to one of those Mongolian BBQ places, ask them to fry up whatever kind of meat and veg and noodles you want, and use that Sriracha sauce on the side. Mmmmmm.

I know how you feel man

Five years in the UK, and every day I kick myself about how I used to drive past hundreds of the best Mexican food joints you’d ever want to eat in in your life.

There is ONE really good Mexican restaurant in London.

Don't call me Desmond

by highlandhalo on Jul 2, 2008 3:19 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

london has good mexican food?

Mike Scioscia: He provides to unlike method of your team member.

by howiestheman on Jul 2, 2008 3:20 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

Which one is that ?

I know there is plenty of good Indian food. I’ve had that many times when I used to live in the Netherlands and went to London about one or two times every three months.

by infant on Jul 2, 2008 3:20 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

yea in So Cal we are so spoiled with the food we have available.

Being a melting pot = best food choices ever

By the way for those who live near HB, try the combination fried rice at Thai Pepper which is on Beach Blvd and Talbert. You won’t be disappointed

I miss Chipotle.

Also Taco Bueno. Iowa is not good at Mexican food, even the chains.

It’s WAY cheaper that way, as it turns out.

ooooo

have you made it out to a Kernels game yet?

you can’t be a diehard fan if you don’t go see a Minor League game when you can.

I see a couple quakes games a year!

by MH252525 on Jul 2, 2008 3:30 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

I've been out there once.

I usually just head over to the I-Cubs park here in Des Moines. They play one series a year vs the Stingers, most of the time.
