yea but the man was LABORING
a full count to the BOTTOM of their order for every single hitter. and well over 100 pitches.
AND HE GOT IT DONE.
The fact that other people screwed up is not his fault, and not Mike’s fault for being unable to foresee them.

And given the fact that the game was tied, we needed to save our relievers as long as possible. We don’t know how long the game will go.

I'd have left Garland in
