I know the AL East is the official division of ESPN
But I’m going to go ahead and say that Joe Morgan will, at some point tonight, use the Halos’ sometimes merciless inability to score runs as evidence that they play with “heart” and “play the game the right way.”

Let's play follow the logic
a) The Angels don’t have a lineup full of buffed up mashers like ESPN thinks they should.
b) Scioscia doesn’t manage the way ESPN thinks they should.
c) The Angels have the best record in baseball
therefore, clearly, the Angels are lucky.

yea but the man was LABORING
a full count to the BOTTOM of their order for every single hitter. and well over 100 pitches.
AND HE GOT IT DONE.
The fact that other people screwed up is not his fault, and not Mike’s fault for being unable to foresee them.
~Till the Halo burns out...
I'm not upset at the results he got but the results he was probably going to get
Are you going to say Zu that after seeing him pitch to Lowrie, Crisp, and Cash that you would have kept him in there against Ellsbury, when Arredondo was loose in the pen?
So
you think Arredondo has a better chance at getting the W, but you’d have left Garland in? Just checkin
I think that Garland had enough to get him
And given the fact that the game was tied, we needed to save our relievers as long as possible. We don’t know how long the game will go.
~Till the Halo burns out...
Excpet he should have been out of the inning twice....
should have had the strike em out throw em out DP, and should have had the third out in RF.
Can someone explain to my why Garland is still in this game
He goes through the bottom of the order laboring on every single hitter and they all suck
Lowrie, Crisp, and their crappy back up catcher
You’d think with him over 100 pitches the Soth would get a clue and go to his bullpen a lot earlier than he did. Ellsbury shot was a smash….
He should have been out of the inning. Twice.
THIS IS NOT ON GARLAND.
*Visiting Angels fan* Never give up, never surrender!
And also not on Mike.
Leaving Garland in was the right call. He got it done. Twice.
~Till the Halo burns out...
Again after seeing the 20 pitches before the Ellsbury ab
who would you have rather had in the game? Garland having thrown over 100 or a fresh Arredondo?
I'd have left Garland in
cause the game is tied and we need him to go as deep as possible.
