Scott Spiezio
I saw Spiezio going to the game Tuesday night. What was funny is an hour before I saw him walk up, I was talking to someone I knew about Hulk Hogan's son being jailed for reckless driving. I jokingly referred to Spiezio's 'little incident' during the off-season, where he crashed his vehicle into curb/fence and went fugitive for a little while, hiding from the cops [and beating up a friend].
I guess he hasn't found a job playing baseball after the Braves had released him from their AAA minor league club. Numerous personal problems aside and stupid [but lucrative] career decisions [signing with Seattle], Spiezio and Angels' fans will always have 2002 to remember.

I wonder if he has to get tickets on StubHub
or if he has friends here still.

if he is getting it from stub hub
he is paying a lot of fees as well as the high fees the seller has to pay. If he keeps buying from stubhub his MLB contract money will be gone in a hurry
Relax... Everything is fine

Yea just another way that MLB sold out it's fans
The ticket exchange was perfect and then they go and screw it up because I’m sure Stub Hub offered them some money. Their fees are way excessive, they charge fees on both ends that are sooooo high and then force the buyer to have it shipped Fed Ex.
I noticed on the Fox Saturday broadcast that the Angels attendance is down this year from last year. I sure hope it’s due to Stub Hub and their bs.

StubHub v. Ticket Exchange
I know that I’ve attended fewer games this year due to the switch from ticket exchange to stubhub. I don’t usually know if I can go to a game until the day of, and ticket exchange made it easy and relatively inexpensive to do so. Maybe the Angels make more money from me per ticket since I have to pay full price (rather than a reduced price on TE, although that’s for a ticket that was already sold once), but they’re selling me fewer tickets overall.

Concur.
I just finished a half-season of sharing season tickets with a friend, but had to drop out due to new demands on my time. Now I am ready to buy game tix on demand, but I will probably do this a lot less because stub-hub is a huge hassle compared to the Ticket Exchange.
Most of the time, I would decide a couple of hours before game time to attend that night. If I am reading this right, that is no longer possible, and the overhead fees have doubled?
Francisco Rodriguez: 188 career saves. 2 career Panthers, tied with Hector Carrasco.

Attendance (as per baseball-reference.com) ...
is down from 41,551 fans per game to 40894 fans per game. Not a huge dip, but I would attribute it more to the slow-down in the economy than anything else.
Last year, when I would list a set of tickets on ebay, BOOM, they’d sell the same day. Now, I wait weeks and weeks and nothing happens. Ebay’s connection to stubhub has caused them to hide the ebay store listings. When you search an event, the auctions show up first, then stubhub gets a big advertisement and then all the way down at the bottom of the list is the small line that says “see additional buy it now items in store listings”. Last year, the store listings appeared on the same page as the auction listings, so I had much higher visibility.
That has pretty much killed my sales. Oh well, if they do not sell, I simply attend the games. Been to 25 already this season! Nice!

Id like to add..
That signing with Seattle wasn’t a stupid move on his part. That was the Mariner’s moronic mistake. (I witnessed his first hit of 04 I think? It was at Angel Stadium, he hit a double, and got hurt running the bases, I believe that brought his average up to an outstanding .050)

I dunno...
I think signing with Seattle could be viewed as a stupid career move.

His first '04 hit was...
Opening day at the Big A. We gave him a standing O during introductions.
