Angels Sweep in Fenway
Panther of the Game: Garret Anderson

Where it began, I can't begin to know when
But then I know it's growing strong
Oh, wasn't the spring, whooo
And spring became the summer
Who'd believe you'd come along
Hands, touching hands, reaching out
Touching me, touching you
Oh, sweet Caroline
Good times never seem so good
I've been inclined to believe it never would
And now I, I look at the night, whooo
And it don't seem so lonely
We fill it up with only two, oh
And when I hurt
Hurting runs off my shoulder
How can I hurt when holding you
Oh, one, touching one, reaching out
Touching me, touching you
Oh, sweet Caroline
Good times never seem so good
Oh I've been inclined to believe it never would
Ohhh, sweet Caroline, good times never seem so good

Nice job Halos!
*Visiting Angels fan* Never give up, never surrender!
i think they said
first sweep in fenway since 2001. the 1962 was talking about something else? idk.

Blue Smoke
And, besides the new guy, now leads the team in RBI’s. Yes, more than Vlad and Hunter.
2- Saunders
Angel Pitching, Angel Defense - get past that.
Torii had a quote about him
something about a jet pack with blue smoke spewing out of it. GA was going for a grab in left center I think.
Seattle I would like to thank you for sucking. It allows me to get back to my roots: Hating Fremont.
Kobe tell me how my ass tastes
“I was playing [Mora] so far over and [Garret] looked at me like, ‘You gonna get it?’ ” Hunter said. “I’m like, ‘No.’ We were looking at each other, talking with our eyes. I was shading him over to right-center. Garret had jets up his [back]. I saw blue smoke coming out. It was pretty sweet.”
"i got 5ive on it"
Thank you I have no idea where to find that

200 saves this year
That seemed impossible at the beginning of the year.

Do not know how this got here it was meant for stirrups below.

With the randomness of Torii's quote, however,
it’s more fun up here!
Francisco Rodriguez: 190 career saves. 2 career Panthers, tied with Hector Carrasco.

thanks fellas!
so now i know of Side Salad, Blue Smoke, Soth, Gazoo, Hula Dula, It’s a Trap….can’t think of any more.
Big GA had himself a NIGHT.
Man, it doesn’t get any better than this. Last time we swept Boston in Boston? 1962. Last 8 game winning streak? 1962.
The Los Angeles Angels have truly returned at last.

Welcome to Halos Baseball, Marky Mark
GA = Panther.
That text in your signature
is priceless. But at least he did get a panther of the year award here.
This is true. And I am willing to acknowledge that someday,
once this place does a better job of sharing the game-to-game love for Frankie. Although, with Tex on board, there is a good chance that the raw quantity of save opportunities just took a nose dive.
Francisco Rodriguez: 190 career saves. 2 career Panthers, tied with Hector Carrasco.
Tied with Carrasco that is awseome.
Seattle I would like to thank you for sucking. It allows me to get back to my roots: Hating Fremont.

Odds are...
With Frankie Panthers being so rare, and Frankie probably departing this offseason, that tie with Carrasco will be our enduring legacy as Halo fans while he tracks a career into the HOF as the greatest closer in the history of the game.

54 saves in a season has been done before though.
Given the state of our offense and pitching, I actually suspected he might make a run at it.
Of course, I never dreamed he’d be within 10 before we ever hit August…
~Till the Halo burns out...
The team has been kind with the save opps as of late
blown leads etc.
I am pumped for Frankie.

I'd like a thank you letter form Troy, Joe, and the Rays
that was sweet.

Oooooooooo - that's a scary, scary Win Pic
Theo looks like he could blend in with those hillbilly creeps from “Deliverance”.
GA all the way as PotG.
Special props to Hunter; he played a terrific CF tonight.
Ain't no stoppin' us now. We got the groove!
Ha. Love the Win pic.
Love killing Boston more though. I think i’m going to use my F bomb too.
Fuck yeah!
Whatever dude.

Also, Deadspin referred to the Angels today as "Anaheim/Los Angeles/Our Overlords"
That felt nice.

And in other news, it is getting dark in the evening yet again.
Francisco Rodriguez: 190 career saves. 2 career Panthers, tied with Hector Carrasco.
Absolutely AWESOME!
Hey you! What are horse mackerel!
Hey, the chair are sailing! You believe that I am toad of the month!
(Yes, that is K-Rod's entry music, translated)
FUCK YEAH!
Being that my hatred for the sux nation runs deep, my F-Bomb needed to be uncorked like a 1920 wine on a special occasion. = )
If I hear the word "red sox"...POW!!! RIGHT IN THE KISSER!!!
I can't even express how stoked I am right now.
I feel like a little kid. All year I have been arguing with my friends (Angel fans) that as important as is it for us to win it all, I really wanted them to do so by smearing the Sux in the process. They all said we couldn’t beat them, and that bummed me out how little faith they all had.
But this feels good. Not just obliterating them, but being proven right that we could dominate. There’s a lot of Ball left I realize, but this feels special.
White trashin' the 909
Honorable Mention Panther: Manny Ramirez
For his salvo against his employer. Where Manny goes, so goes the season. Buh-bye, Red Sox Nation.
You ever feel as if your mind had started to erode?
NOW THAT WAS FUN!
I really enjoyed my Fenway Park experience! Blows Skankee stadium out of the water! Lots of fellow Angel fans flying the colors. Absolutely loved it! Gorgeous weather, women, and atmosphere! Only complaint was $7.50 for Budweiser kind of sucked. Could not find too many Sam Adams in the park! I don’t mind paying that for good beer, but Buttwiper? Ugh!
Anyway, I HIGHLY recommend Fenway park for a great baseball experience! As for Yankee stadium, wait til next year when the new park opens! Yankee stadium is a pit, hole, dive, insert adjective here…fans were fun to watch and very loud…NYC is definitely the BIG stage and has the aura, but…wait til next year!
Angels silenced the Fenway faithful! :) Broomage!
This is BAD Vlad and his band of wimps! (can't change it now, cuz the last time I did...he started sucking again!)
7.50 for a Bud, eh?
Arte spoils us.

Hey Boston,
Scoscia wants to know how his chowda tastes…
Let no joyful voice be heard! Let no man look up at the sky with hope! And let this day be cursed by we who ready to wake... the K-Rod!
After tonight
I doubt you’ll catch me calling GA lazy. Not after seeing Manny no so much chase after balls as pout after them. So yeah, I second PoA on that one.
Physioc doesn’t tend to manifest anything except annoyance for Hud’s exuberance, except this evening while they were discussing Manny’s comment of “they don’t deserve me,” to which Steve said “how dare he?!”
Gotta love it.
(I want to state for the record, however, that I prefer Phyz and Hud to Goobie and Rory, since they tend to get bored and start going off on tangents completely non-germane to the Halos. At least with Phyz and Hud it’s like listening to Laurel and Hardy or the Smothers Brothers.)
"I've got more action than my man John Woo

I got really sick of Rory describing how Soth always has his game face on........
“Whether we are four runs behind or six runs ahead he never shows his emotions during a game, blah, blah, blah”, every game this series.
I love Rory and Gubie
I think they’ve developed a good rapport, and some funny schtick, especially when doing the in-game promos of upcoming stadium giveaways. Tonight’s comments on the reversible floppy hat really had me rolling.
But then, I was already pretty giddy by that point anyway.
". . .and the young lions will lock horns!" -- Ron Fairly, from an Angels telecast
Speechless....
did the Angels really just sweep the Red Sox? Wow.
Bangup job by Saunders. Amazing that this fellow has FOURTEEN wins. Unreal.
So, over or under 8.5 wins after the break.
I’ll bet you took under.

we just got some HUGE props from the four lettered network.
that’s right, ESPN just showed our highlights under the caption “Owning the Red Sox”.
they went on and on about how great our offense was and how bad the Sawx were.
i think i had tears in my eyes.
Mike Scioscia: He provides to unlike method of your team member.
Time to start shwocasing the Cubbies, I guess.
Francisco Rodriguez: 190 career saves. 2 career Panthers, tied with Hector Carrasco.
NOTICE, THOUGH...
they made NO MENTION of the Youkilis error… I guessed that omission would happen right after i saw the play.

Two disappearance questions
Anybody know what happened to the missing umpire (though he did come back)—maybe nature called?
Does ANYBODY know what Manny does when he goes into the scoreboard?
