TB Plays Sweet Caroline After Sweep
A whiny Redsawx blogger pisses and moans because the Tampa Bay Rays brilliantly chose to play Sweet Caroline after the Rays finished a sweep of Boston in Tampa. This dude's whining (linked above) will make you fall in hate with Boston all over again.

hilarious
if this was “tounge in cheek” it would be brilliant but then again we couldn’t expect such from a Sox fan.
Angels in 08!
Nothing like a taste of your own annoying medicine.
Did anyone else notice their comments are housed on something called -haloscan-? How come we can’t get that!
Lamest poster of all-time.

amazing. way to go
i thought i heard that on the highlights, but i couldn’t tell, because anchors don’t shut up
Mike Scioscia: He provides to unlike method of your team member.
I hate to say it, but...
I agree with the Bosox blogger. Maybe because I don’t hate the Red Sox, I actually admire them and their franchise for their success. That is “their song”, everyone knows it. For the Rays to play it was kinda shitty. Get a little more success than a half season, then start rubbing noses. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy for the Rays’ success and I’d love to see them win the East, but try to be classier about it.
I was uncool before uncool was cool.
Funny how a bunch of meatheads in Boston can adopt a theme song for their team and call it “their own” when that song’s writer is born and raised and is a symbol of their HATED rival’s home “region”: New York (Diamond is from Brooklyn).
Admittedly, the song is about Caroline Kennedy (according to Neil), but still, she is not exactly a symbol of Red Sox nation, is she?
Hello, Boston! Get a clue!
Also, I tend to recall the Angels playing “New York, New York” once or twice in my times attending a big Halos victory over the Yanks. It’s nothing new and is part of the game when you are a little guy trying to topple the big guys. Why not laugh when they topple? “They were walking all over our stadium for the longest time—like they owned the darn place…” that is probably what spurred that reaction.

If you don't want to be ridiculed when you lose
it’s best to not be so obnoxious when you win.

Well put...
if you can’t enjoy the good times (ie sweep of BoSux)...what else is there?
I think it is hilarious!
This is BAD Vlad and his band of wimps!
I heard it
right after the game ended they played around three lines to the song. While it was playing they showed “Shiner the first baseman” glaring out on the field all “hey, thats our fuckin song”
