Man Ram vs Vlad G.
Hey guys,I did an intresting comparison of these 2 after I got sick of the Man Ram is the best RH hitter ever,of our time,generation,era..etc.talk. I first,am not saying Man Ram can't go,b/c he is an awesome hitter and has great career numbers..I am just going to show how Vlad stacks up in talks of a RH hitter, and how he fares over the years with Man Ram
200 hit seasons- Manny Ramirez-0
Vladimir Guerrero-4
seasonal average of .310 or better- Man Ram-6
Vladimir Guerrero-9
seasons with 100 K's - Man Ram-10
Vlad G - 0
Seasons with 110 rbi plus-Manny Ramirez-7
Vladimir Guerrero - 6
Manny Ramirez-12 straight 25 + hr seasons
Five 40 hr + seasons
Vladimir Guerrero 10 straight 25 + hr seasons
Two 40 hr seasons, 2 seasons with 39 hr
Guerrero 11 straight seasons with .300 avg or higher
7 seasons with .320 avg or higher
Both members of 2,000 hit club,1,000 rbi club,1,000run club
I realize Ramirez has more HR and RBI this stage in the game.I know he has 500 + hr and Guerrero 380, but I think in the end,Guerrero has far more hits, and close 2 as many RBI,although I don'tlike to get into predictions,I will say Ramirez has beneitted from having more players in his lineup-Belle,Thome,Ortiz,Lowell,Alomar then has Guerrero (Guillen,Cabreara,Stevens,)
I won't get into size of stadium arguments,I have my own thoughts on that,I am just trying to show that, maybe there is another name in the argument, and that its close if anything,in the end we will have 2 watch out the careers of these 2 to see how the numbers shape up
Hope you all liked this article,go Angels.

interesting analysis......
and I would factor in the “Fenway” advantage with that HR total…..i know you said you didnt want to get into that…..but I would def keep that in consideration.

Manny also has 3 years on Vlad...
His first “full season” being 1995, while Vlad’s first “full season” was 1998 (my definition of a full season in this case is >100 games).

Postseason stats goes to Manny unfortunately
Vladdy, as we all know (albeit in a much smaller sample size) just hasn’t done it in the postseason (.183-1-7). Manny has a HUGE sample size with .269-24-64 and some big hits (like Frankie’s gopher ball in Game 2 against us last year).

Strike shortened season
They were the best team in baseball IMO. Although Vlad was not a contributor

this is the killer
the sux jerk came through like a banshee in ‘04 and last year. Vlad did zero at nut-cuttin time. that choke vs. chi has to be one of the worst throat jobs in history. almost as pathetic as Hodges in the ‘52 Series.
Go Mizzou.

weren't you on the bradley wagon?
the dude is set for another melt-down pretty soon…
This tidbit in the Register’s blog:
The seeds for drama later in the series were planted in the eighth inning when Angels catcher Jeff Mathis plowed into Rangers catcher Max Ramirez, trying to score from third on a ground ball. Mathis was out and Ramirez even completed a double play, throwing to third from his knees to get Casey Kotchman trying to advance.
After the inning, Rangers DH Milton Bradley could be seen on the top step of the home dugout shouting in the direction of the Angels’ dugout.
The Rangers and Angels have brawled in the past over some headhunting, primarily led by Rangers right-hander Vicente Padilla — who is scheduled to start the third game of this series on Wednesday.

Yes I was on it
He is clearly wrong, but I see no problem with jawing. That was a clean play.
It is not as if he would hate being on the Angels. He’ll play for anyone.

Nice job Raven 191, and shame on the Red Sox for not having the courage
to discipline ‘Man-Ram’ after he shoved the team’s traveling secretary in
Houston. Absolutely gutless. If you’re Shawn Chacon, you’re cut the next day.
if you’re Manny…..well “it’s just Manny being Manny”. What a joke.

I guess "Just Chacon being Chacon"
or “Just Chacon being Manny” doesn’t give people the same warm fuzzies.
