i just want to clarify that 3 innings was all that they were hoping for. with 2 pitchers going on the dl in 2 days and the bullpen rested they decided to go with a bullpen combined start rather than call up an emergency starter.

they were hoping for 3 from madrigal. hes a short reliever not a starter. though he may have gone 4 if a couple of plays had been made behind him.

Hud is pretty interesting, but he’s got nothing on the absolute amazement that Morgan brings to my brain. Having a good laugh and being able to heckle the announcer is an important balance to the visual interest coming form the field.
