how does milwaukee lead that list?

they are a team full of mashers. they have prince fielder. how does he not hit into dp’s???

It would be better

if we could see how many at-bats each player had, where there was the opportunity to hit into a double play, You can eliminate any at-bats where there was no one on base. Those numbers would be better ones to look at. I have no idea whether you can get any stats like that.

Just thinking about this a little bit more

You can subtract a total of at least 8 at-bats per game from each team, because the first guy up each inning has no possibility of hitting into a double play, also subtractany at-bats with 2 outs, and the number of homeruns each team as hit from their at-bat total.

I am also probably thinking about this too much

Well, a leadoff homer only counts as 1AB

But your count would count it as 2 (leadoff and HR).
