FAY wimped out and is just a tropical storm. Tampa St. Pete is not even in the white cone of intensity anymore.

Thanks for the update
Was wondering what to do with myself if I had to go 2 nights without a game. You’re pretty awesome Rev – art critic, author, owner/manager of the 59th most valuable sports blog on the planet … and now …
WEATHERMAN. Panther.

LMAO
I have a friend who took herself and her two boys down to the series against the Rays— I sent her a text message yesterday afternoon that stated the following:
“How’s the weather???”
She hasn’t responded since. I think she doesn’t like my sense of humor. Go figure.
:P
I like it
I sent a few friends back in OC text messages saying: “What’s shakin’?” :)

Meanwhile, HaloVet messages from Orlando
Increasing rain and winds, but he is still able to be out and about.
Francisco Rodriguez: 193 career saves. 2 career Panthers, tied with Hector Carrasco.

Sometimes you gotta be willing to die for surf
I’ve had to go all the way up to Thurso, the very north tip of mainland Great Britain, to get some killer rights.
Mark Foo as well … RIP brah. But kitesurfing in that shit is just plain stupid. He makes the Darwin list.

My mother in law lives in Venice, FL
That’s about 60 miles south of Tampa/St. Pete. She reports they didn’t get a drop of rain. She was evacuated yesterday and has been given the green light to return.
