This just to make you all happy today. Blue Smoke acknowledges the crowd on the night he drove in 10 ribeye steaks. Love the man, Halos Heaveners ...

Memo to Barry Bonds

Note the lack of ego

Don't call me Desmond

by highlandhalo on Aug 19, 2008 5:52 AM PDT   0 recs

I've only heard negative stuff about Anderson off the field..

And thats from friends that are diehard Angels fans. That he is pompous and arrogant (Not like that is any different from other ball players but I’d hardly say ‘lack of ego,’ more like ‘lack of emotion’)

He has a ring. That is all that matters to me.

Division titles and World Series.

Seattle I would like to thank you for sucking. It allows me to get back to my roots: Hating Fremont.

why.........................................................................

are mariner fans telling us about how ga acts off the field?

"Life is a luminous halo, a semi-transparent envelope surrounding us from the beginning of consciousness to the end."

Garret should be beloved

Look at his eyes in that pic in and it tells it all.

Team leader in almost every category. I just drove in 10 runs in a game. No big deal. Look at his eyes man, look at his eyes, tell me you don’t see an all-time Angel in those eyes.

His casual gesture is just Blue Smoke being himself. … You call me lazy, I’ll drive in 10 runs on your asses and see how it feels.

GA = Audie Murphy

Tim Salmon wouldn't even tip his cap when he got his 1000th RBI.

We gave him a looong standing ovation while he stood on 1st with his hands on his hips.

The point of this fanshot was to make Angels fans feel good

Not to turn it into a pissing match. Cunts.

I a not sure why, but looking at this photo...

…reminded me of an interview a few years ago with Ted Williams. After he hit his first home run, he showed some small gleeful sign of emotion rounding the bases. When he got back to the dugout, he was chastised by the veteran players for “showing up their opponents”. He made it sound like a SERIOUS ass-chewing. So, for the next 520 home runs, he put his head down and took his round-trip at full speed.
GA seems to be a throw-back to that time. He keeps his emotions (mostly) in check never getting too high or too low. So, what I see in those eyes is a measure of humility…maybe the same that Ted Williams had to learn.
Regardless, good post!
