How can you say “I don’t actually intend to make fun of his mother” yet you started of the asinine remark with “Your”. What was the intention? Disparaging comments of family loved ones by someone is only funny to those that have not been the effected.
Find it hard to believe that the comment made would lighten up the mood if your saying it to another person who has lost their mother. Pure case of someone that does not think before speaking or has an education of ant.

GA at-bat in the 9th was a hit, correct?
I had to leave for a short time, the Gameday play by play says it was an error but the postgame show say it was a hit as does the Gameday box score.
Angels in 08!
Hud made a joke about the scorer stepping away from his adult beverage.
If GA wasn't so lazy the Halos woulda won the 2008 WS by now.

Our winning the game virtually depended on that at-bat. He GIDPs or flies out, we remain tied and quite probably lose.

Was dribbling into the outfield. It would have been a close play at first, to be able to record the out.

I would have gone with Frankie had he been more dominant. However, that first hit was well struck and the double play ball could have easily been a hit as well. Time to give some love to GA for the hit streak too.

Arredondo will get good at it. He has'nt even played a full year yet.
If Frankie goes, I would favor having two guys capable at assuming the closer role but not necessarily exclusively closers. i think the Angels could benefit from an expanded and flexible bullpen next year.
We still need Frankie.
Arredondo still needs to mature before you place him in a critical role such as closing a game. And you cant judge a guy after less than a season before giving him a role such as closer. Shields is a great Set-up man but you need a guy to go in day in and day out and be able to get the job done. And the bullpen would have to be better before it can be flexible or expanded. Having Speier and Oliver aint cutting it. The Angels need better pitchers in the pen.
