but if K-Mo duplicates the production of Juan (which is highly possible)

then it doesnt matter…….and plus IIRC isnt K-Mo a switch hitter?

my point being.....that Zu is afraid in drop in production from Juan to K-Mo

and I think they’re one in the same so nothing is being lost..

but not at Juan’s current pace…. over a full season though.

i’d bet that they put up VERY similar numbers over a full year

Duplicating Juan's current production seems slightly unlikely. Even for morales.

Plus, I want Juan to come back next year, given his likely output vs cost. Morales can replace Tex.

Numbers.

Morales’ best production over ~200 PA in the majors is an .810 OPS. Juan with regular playing time is better than that.

K-Mo hasnt even reached his prime yet......

and Juan is about to hit the time where skills can start to decline.

Juan has made the most of every opportunity we've given him.

And currently, he’s outproducing Morales in similar opportunities. I’m all for giving new guys a chance, but we need the sure thing to make sure we get Home Field over the Rays.
