Who protects Tex next year?
If Tex gets a big contract with the Angels, is there another FA out there to sign to protect him. Re-signing Vlad next year is an option. I haven't looked that closely at next years free agent list. But if we sign Tex and don't have sufficient protection for him then we're back to the old Vladdy days. As for in house options, Hunter may offer some protection , as well as Rivera. Talk amongst yourselves...........

All of the real power threats are outfielders, but if Figgins leaves and either Hank Blalock/Adrian Beltre are healthy and more proven, I could take a chance on them. However, that is if Brandon Wood hasn’t established himself as a Major League hitter.

Is someone looking to steal his lunch money.
’cause if I were Teix then I think Darren Oliver might be good.
He’s pretty low key, but I’m sure he could show you a thing or two.

I thought about it for a moment
And I concur with A-Rod probably protecting him in that lineup.

I think the implication
Is Tex will be in the middle of NYY’s order, not the Angels.

Chuck Norris destroyed the periodic table, because he only recognizes the element of surprise.
and, when the Boogeyman goes to sleep every night, he checks his closet for Chuck Norris.
