Fangraphs Analysis of the Teixeira Trade
I always read the Fangraph articles, especially when they are in reguards to angels players. They bring a whitty stat geek analysis to many of the major and under the radar stories going on in baseball. Today Eric Seidman, a regular writer for this website, wrote an analysis of the Tex trade and there isn't really anything new in it that we as angels fans didn't already know. However, I love when I find non-biased writers, unlike myself, criticizing media members (especially ones from espn) about their anti-angels bias. I know many of us on this website strongly dislike Steve Philips so I thought I would share this quote.
"When the Braves traded Mark Teixeira to the Angels for, among other assets, Casey Kotchman, the analytic world of the baseball media went into a frenzy.... and, I’m sure Steve Phillips dug out five at-bats of Teixeira’s playoff performance in college to say that he wouldn’t help the Angels due to poor post-season play."

He better do well in the playoffs, or I will have fits.
Francisco Rodriguez: 196 career saves. 3 career Panthers, 1/3 as awesome as GMJ.

i doubt he's going to randomly stop hitting
do i expect him to hit .380-ish like he is now? of course not.
but his approach and ability doesn’t seem to change a whole lot from game to game.
