Injuries: Howie Kendrick-day to day with a tight hammy. Erick Aybar-day to day with a tight hammy. Props to Juan Rivera for playing 2nd base tonight.
The Mariners have officially been eliminated.
Also of note, before todays game, the rumour was that the Angels were looking to pick up another middle infielder. With Howie and Erick going day to day mode, one has to assume that the Ninja is going to have to make a move.

i think it's a VERY good possibilty that we get a SS/2B
but unfortunately, none of them have cleared waivers (that i know of)
this could get interesting…. i sure hope Howie and Aybar aren’t out for more than a week or so.

heard that Willits was activated, but no matter. Loux isn’t going to pitch again for a few more days. He goes down, Wood comes up.

something I never thought I’d see, that’s for sure. Rivera at 2B, that is. So, anything’s possible. Still, Teix hasn’t played 3B in years. Quinlan has. No reason to mess with Teixeira when there is another competent 3B on the active roster.
And if anyone (Aybar or Kendrick) is headed to the DL, then we’ll see Wood.
Like to see some sort of current MLB player up the middle
just feel that the team is going to struggle up the middle with SLC there. Can’t have them making outs on offense and giving them away on D

Isn't Figgins still playing up the middle in that setup?
The only difference from your lineup is that Q plays third and Teix plays first, rather than GMJ in the lineup.

i disagree with the blame call.
juan rivera swung at 5 straight balls, when ziegler had just walked quinlan in four straight pitches, grounding into a rally ending double play.
The hitters had every opportunity to turn it around so saunders cant be blamed.
