I am not worried
Even though today's game was one of, if not the, worst game(s) I've ever seen, the Halos have made me feel very, very good the past few weeks.
If, a month or so ago, I would've told everyone here we'd go 7-3 on this east coast trip, everybody would've been happy - and most would've thought the three losses would be against the BoSox, or post season friends.
Well, as it so happened, we lost 1 against Baltimore; tough luck, it happens sometimes. We SWEPT the BoSox - and beat them hard in two of the three games. We split the series with the Yanks, and beat them very hard one of the two games we won too. Also, today, we did put up a bunch of runs; much more anyway than we were used to back in June and May.
Maybe it's not needed, but I think a game like this makes us, including me, feel overly negative for too long. We should be positive. WE DID NOT LOSE A SERIES ON THIS ROAD TRIP. How many teams in baseball can go on a road trip this hard, and return home WITHOUT losing a series ?
So, let's stay positive:
- We swept the Boston Red Sox in Fenway Park
- Teixeira let his bat be heard today
- We only really stunk it up ONCE in 10 games on a tough road trip
- Torii has proven we need him; thank goodness he's back tomorrow
Now let's hope the Angels put GMJ on the 60 day DL and we can all be happy again.
I'm going to Joe's Crab Shack to have me some party. The Angels are rolling.

Exactly right
No time to panic. This is one heck of a resilient team, and today they were minus Torii and Vlad.
Witty .sig goes here.
breathe in, breathe out
thank you for calming down. very good points made, and your right this team is rolling and games like this are gonna happen.

Totally uncharacteristic errors...even for HGH. Otherwise, we'd be talking about how much we love Tex.
Speaking of which….how about Teixeira? That salami was clutch. He’s getting comfy, and that’s something we can all be stoked about.
Whatever dude.
PREACH IT
The Angels are playing very well, despite today’s meltdown. Today just serves to remind us that there are a ton of games left and that 1995 is not some longforsaken ghost that disappeared after 2002. That is why guys like Scioscia stay true to the mantra of “one day at a time; don’t get to excited, don’t get too worried”—the mental side of the game is too strong to let yourself be distracted by emotion (positive or negative).
I don't think any of us are really "freaking out"
but most of us are pissed of at the continuation of GMJ’s playing time.
and, most of us are speaking out of anger because of this… we’re really speaking in the moment.
I, for one, am not worried or freaking out. I just wish we’d either bench the loser that’s killing us or DFA him.
This is a wonderful time for the Angels and their fans. We are, and continue to be, the best team in baseball.
Mike Scioscia: He provides to unlike method of your team member.
It's Okay!
I’m not too worried. One bad game. It happens. This might even make the team better in the long run.
To piggy back of a point from the OP..........
I believe the HALOS havent lost a series in their last 20 or so….....IIRC the last time the HALOS lost a series was the Braves/Mets at home.

Great points
That Baltimore-Boston-New York trip used to absolutely kill the Angels. To come through it 7-3 relatively unscatched, with a sweep in Fenway, a near no-hitter, and Teixeira’s first grand slam for the Angels are all blessings. And it looks like Desmond wants to hit again.
To be honest, I would have been happy coming away 5-5 or even 4-6 on that trip.
Don't call me Desmond
