Either he is TOO confident or blind; he SHOULD KNOW that the Angels tend to suck pretty bad against pitchers they haven’t seen before. This has been the Halo MO since I can remember. If you are a proven veteran – the team finds a way to get runs off of you. If you are a rookie – or just friggin’ suck – you are likely to get a quality start or better…
It is a crazy, crazy thing. It’s one of those things that makes me wonder if the same is true for other franchises – but I just don’t follow them on a daily basis…

Another thing that has been true for quite a while..
other than that we have trouble against unknown pitchers, is that we always struggle against bad teams – yet in general do (very) good against good teams. Mental?
