Vlad.

Big homer in the first, plus 4 RBI = Panther.

Hmmmmm, tough one.

Ervin was not dominant on the mound, and we had some strong plate appearances. Not Ervin

Vlad/Tex/GA were all strong offensively. Vlad gets an edge in one direction for his HR and 4 RBI’s, GA gets an edge in another direction for his 3 for 4 with 2 RBI’s, and Tex has an edge for getting as many hits as Vlad, scoring more runs, and making a web gem defensive play in the field to help save runs scored against.

So, all things considered, I fall back on the basic rule that Vlad and GA are doing what is expected of them, and give it to Tex.

Francisco Rodriguez: 191 career saves. 2 career Panthers, tied with Hector Carrasco.

P.S. - Mathis had an unexpectedly good game, as well.

Not enough for POTG, but I don’t want to slight his effort.

I thought U Haul

I gotta go with...

a very comfortable looking Vlad at the plate in this lineup.

Not to mention every year he had played a complete season BEFORE becoming a Halo.

I am on the record stating he'd be lucky to reach 25...

I am preparing the crow for that day, though. HAPPILY. And I hope it is really soon.

That's the way to go into a day off

One goofy inning, and a quick finish to the game. Go Halos!

F U Jay Payton

for cock-blocking our free Claim Jumper Sliders with that catch.

Otherwise, Geritol Anderson for panther!

You ever feel as if your mind had started to erode?

by PieceOfAase on Aug 6, 2008 4:16 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Cock blocking is a fate punishable by ass kicking

Geritol did the job, so did Vladdy, so did U-Haul. Cock-blocking is not acceptable period and must be dealt with harshly.

Don't call me Desmond

The AP writer needs his head examined:

Link to AP Reefer Madness
SNIPPET:
Vladimir Guerrero homered and drove in four runs, Garret Anderson had three hits and two RBIs, and the Angels beat the Orioles 9-4 on Wednesday with basically the same lineup that was held to one hit over eight innings by Olson in his big league debut.

Uh, no. It was NOT “basically the same” lineup. It was vastly different in that it did NOT INCLUDE Gary Matthews, Jr NOR Robb Quinlan.

Don't you wish you had a gid that paid you to invent reality,

and had inept fact-checkers and editors supervising your day?

... wait
