Whodathunk we would be rooting for a former Ranger come August...?

Oh, and btw...
linkie
ANAHEIM — Angels right fielder Vladimir Guerrero left after the fourth inning of Friday’s game with the Mariners with irritation in his right knee and is listed as day-to-day.
Sounds like an excuse to give Vlad a few days off!

Naps all the way.
Fangraphs loves Napoli so much it married him. Naps with a WPA of .594 Next best Angel? WPA of .143 for both Dondo and Q.
Ain't no stoppin' us now. We got the groove!

It means that fangraphs gives Napoli approximately 60% of this win, a hefty amount.

Should also get some credit for the quality start . WPA tends to underrate starting pitchers.

apparently walk-offs are no longer good enough to get you on ESPN...
except if you’re the Red Sox.
I lie… they had a 10 sec. highlight of the game…. a shot of KRod getting ready, then Napoli’s homer. that was it. no more.
nothing about Saunders’ night. nothing about Q’s triple… heck, they didn’t even show the great assist from the first inning.
screw you, East Coast. you suck.
Kotch would've had that.

Considering all the great defensive plays in this game,
combined with all the games that were rained out, that sux.
Francisco Rodriguez: 203 career saves. 4 career Panthers, 1/2 as awesome as GMJ.

what was pretty crazy was that they had a gamebreak from BBTN showing naps hit the SF
and i think it was fernando vina who said, napoli has some serious power, as evidenced by how far he hit this ball. and then literally 2 minutes later, nipples hits the walk off

Serious power to Vina = Albert Belle
Remeber the “broken up” play when Vina was playing 2B and Belle steam-rolled that little punk?

Kwin-len, or Q
What is up with all you people continually dissing the Q man? For the past (6?) years or so, this man has brought us a .280 avg and the ability two play 4 different positions well (2OF, 2IF) as a BACKUP player. On the most recent thread, after Q hit a triple, someone called him Q-suck. Disgraceful.
This guy only averages about 70 games a year and 180 ab’s. And yet he can still maintain a decent level of play (“oh, my Rivera is not getting enough at bats or he would be Babe Ruth”).
Q is a BACKUP. He is versatile. What the FUCK more do you want from a fucking backup player?

Poor quality crowd last night...
only cheered when the scoreboard told them to and the 9:30 rule took effect in a big way (in a 3-3 ballgame, the place was vacated in massive numbers).
Thank you, Mike Napoli, for treating those of us who stayed behind to yet another Halos walkoff treat this year.
