Interesting Stat
The Angels are one of two teams that have never had a 100 win or a 100 loss season.

I was just thinking we had some horrible teams and was surprised by the not losing a 100

KRod is always a panther.
except when he blows a throw to first base
Driven into right-center field, Erstad says he has it...the Angels, world champions!
he probably threw more warmup pitches
and who said you needed to sweat to get a panther :P

Speier was the pitcher of record at the time the Angels took the lead.
Speier got the last out of the 6th inning, and the Angels took the lead in the top of the 7th, so Speier is legit in that he was in line for the win.
Ain't no stoppin' us now. We got the groove!

true but not true
Scorekeeper has discretion but – unwritten rule – gives it to the pitcher of record when the lead that was never surrendered is established.
