Howie 100%, Rivera back soon, Saunders passes kidney stone
"Right now it (Saunders making the next start) is a little bit of a question," Scioscia said. "We’ll see how he comes out of it. He was doubled over last night and had to go to the hospital."
and
"Howie ran the bases 100 percent," Scioscia said. "We’ll give him a day to recover and then evaluate him on Monday with a possibility of playing as early as Monday. He made a lot of progress today. Barring any setbacks, we’re pretty comfortable that he’ll be out there in the next couple days. And Juan ran today and is feeling better, closer to getting there."

Ouch.
Kidney stones are really painful. When I had one, I remember asking the guy at the ER to just kill me and put me out of my misery.
I’ve been told that a kidney stone is as close as a guy can come to the pain of labor and childbirth.

What a big year for the guy!
If GA wasn't so Lazy, I'd have something clever here.

How odd
some guy at work the other day (on his last day, no less…we had already ordered a ton of food for a mini-party) doubled-over in pain half an hour into the day, and fell to the ground. Rushed him to the hospital for a kidney stone. One of the nurses told the guy who dropped him off “it’s far worse than any labor pain…I’ve had both.”
From the look on that guy, and knowing other people who’ve had them, I wouldn’t wish them upon anyone…except maybe Jose Guillen and Tom Brady.
And I can only pray I never get one myself…not likely, though.

Damn
Kidney stone? Really? At least he’s passing it now, rather than the night before his start in game 3 of the division series. Who’s gonna get pink eye this year?
MORPHINE!!!
I passed 4 stones over a 3 day period. Morphine became my best friend!! The worst pain invented by GOD!!! I ripped my ACL, and it was nothing compared to the pain of stones!! It feels like your penis is being ripped inside-out, and your kidneys are being sat on by a 50,000 pound elephant. Get well Col.
"......and you can kiss it GOODBYE"
They gave me something
called Tornadol for my stone. I have no idea what it is, but I loved it.
