Angels Tattoo...?
so i've been all talk for a few years now... i've said that if the angels won the world series again i'd get an angels tattoo. probably nothing big, i figured just the A with the years 2002 and 2008(hopefully!!!) underneath. And then every year after that they won the series i would add the year. kind of a sentimental way of keeping track of our favorite team's glory. i've never been tatted up before, and i figured it would go some place rather discreet. maybe square on my ass? is this a totally ridiculous idea, or totally awesome? if i go through with it i'd definitely post pics for all to see, but does anyone else have any angels tattoos that they could show off or have thought about getting? this has been a pretty real possibility the past few years as the angels have gone to the playoffs, but none more than this year in my opinion. this team is pretty legit top to bottom and on the brink of 100 wins. let me know what you guys think.
also, does anyone else have any special plan that they've been putting off till the angels win another ring? for example, my dad has been talking about cracking open this expensive bottle of tequila if they go the distance. i don't mean to jinx the team, but this stuff must have crossed someone else's mind...

i've thought about it
but no Halos tat for me as of yet.
i’m not sold on the butt-tat thing myself, but whatever floats your boat? :P
there’s only so many discreet places on the human body… maybe on the back of your shoulder?
Kotch would've had that.
WOW !!
I’m not a tat person, buy that’s a really cool one!

Could be a cool idea, depending on what you go with, but don't put it on your butt(if your a dude, at least).
Whatever dude.

yeah i'm definitely a dude...
haha. but i guess i just would rather keep something like a tattoo where the sun doesn’t shine. the back would be cool i suppose, but tattoos just seriously aren’t my style. i guess i have another month to think about this.

I too dislike the tattoo on the butt idea
PARTICULARLY if you are going to post pics of it.
Driven into right-center field, Erstad says he has it...the Angels, world champions!
I've seen people
with tattoos on the bottom of their feet. No one sees it unless you show them. Though you’re also “walking all over it.” Still a good location if you’re not big on tattoos.
Rather bad timing but.........................
But I said if the Angels made the series I would fly to the other teams stadium to catch a game.
The Cubs are really F-ing this plan up. Ticket prices are going to be epic.
The Angels may have beat them 8 times in a row, but winning three before they do is all that matters.
Your house will be divided. Tell your man to pick a better team. ;)
Whatever dude.

Agreed. My dream of a road series game will be put on hold.

I believe its not too
late to sign up for thier ticket lottery. I won for the NLDS. Crossing fingers for WS (if it goes that far.)

I always said I don't do pain..
But I would have to consider an Angel tattoo if we won the series this year. I can see a small A logo with the years listed below.. But then where the hell do I put it????
It was meant as a general comment.
I KNOW better than to ask THIS crowd where to put a tattoo.. LMAO..
I was going to say...
…you have discussions on this thread about butt tattoos, and that other post where “Bentley Matthews” had “Gary” tattooed on the inside of her lip…I cannot even picture getting a tattoo inside the mouth.
If you wanted to be real bitchin'
you would just get a Panther and call it a day.
"why do you we still have quitlin?" -VladdyG
hmmm
I was leaning towards getting a Panther for my 2nd tat, but the guy I know who is a tattoo expert says a panther tat is lamest of the lame, since everyone has one.
I guess if you’re a real fan it has to be the big A (lit of course).
P.S. If you’re a dude I highly recommend the bicep as the spot. Covered by short sleeve shirts for work, but easy enough for everyone to see if you want, plus not that painful.
I too have considered a tat if they win it all.
8’s my lucky number so it would all work out well. It’s all about the symbology plus panthers are just cool

You should get a huge skull with the Angels logo tattooed on it's forehead for your arm.
Then get a large portrait of Arte Moreno on your back.
I have
An Angels A logo tattooed on my right arm. I got the tattoo in 2002 day of game 1 of the World Series. The tattoo is located high on my arm and hides under my short sleeve. I have run into a few other Angels fans with tattoo’s over the years. I have thought about getting every Angels logo they have ever used tattooed on me. Maybe one day, we will see.
I would never tatoo
However, I’m boring. On the other hand, I’m wondering which Angel greats have tatooed. Fregosi, GA, Ryan, Salmon, Lackey, Vlad, etc. ? Who tatoos and who doesn’t? Good question for smart people.
Angel Pitching, Angel Defense - get past that.
I've thought about it for years
I’m gonna do it one of these days. I swear!

i've considered it..
if i do i’m leaning towards the “little a” with the cocked halo on the inside of my left wrist.
but i’ll be honest, i’m not much of a tatoo guy, so its unlikely.

Speaking from the perspective of a spouse of a person who works in a dermatology clinic...
unless one desires pain, the other end of one’s affinity for tatoos is not anywhere near as rewarding as getting them in the first place. Worse, should one retain their affinity through to their later years, what once was chic tends to become, uh, well, shall we just leave it at “unpleasant”?
Hat tips to the ladies: some shades of green can NEVER be removed, and some parts of the body can NEVER stand up to the pain of the removal process. Choose wisely.

Green...
fortunately, none of us are A’s fans.

Also, my doctor said that red fades easily...
I don’t know if that’s true or not.
Hostility abounds on Halos Heaven
I sure the hell hope not.
It took nearly 40 years for red to rise!

But it's lasted 7 years.
Do you think he should call a doctor yet?

It's not that red fades easily
It’s that when you get red ink tattooed onto your skin, the artist usually can’t distinguish the difference between the ink and the blood on your arm. So it might look like it’s complete when you leave the Tat Shop, but then when it starts to scab and heal you’ll notice where he mistaked the blood for ink.

I'm getting one
Screw it. I’ve waited too long to get my Angels tattoo and I don’t care what mrs highlandhalo says, I’m getting one. Pics to be posted later.
Don't call me Desmond
Now is not the time...
it is best to do something like this when the team is at a low point. Show your true fandom in times of distress, not at the pinnacle.
