Weakness in Seattle
Blame of the Game: Torii Hunter
A bad night at the plate and his first turkey in the field. Weaver pitched stellar for 5 and then the bad luck baptism commenced.
A 13 game losing streak is a rare thing, which is why the fates conspired to bobble Aybar's ball for him and tweak a DP grounder off of Weaver's glove. A 4-Run 6th inning is much more statistically probable than a 13th consecutive loss.
Boston clinched a post-season berth tonight and is 3 back of the Rays. Look for them to be rested and ready to rumble on Wednesday or Thursday of next week. We can tune up for the ALCS advantage between now and then, but getting the pitchers, Howie and Aybar sharp and avoiding any bad juju should pretty much be the priority fo the next 5 games.

you know what I think about this game??
I’m actually glad we lost it— you know why??
Cause this means the Angels will win #100 at HOME on FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Weaver was unlucky
Torii for BOTG, no offensive production at all.
Driven into right-center field, Erstad says he has it...the Angels, world champions!
Say what you will about the loss
the one thing I got out of the game was this:
Napoliness is next to Godliness.

i think you meant to say
Napoliness IS Godliness
Exceeding expectations is less a matter of luck than possession of certain assets.

depends on how many games Santana starts
because our management is retarded and won’t let him and Napoli work together and get better.
Kotch would've had that.

That Nap-Bomb landed somewhere in Vancouver
Good to see he can get hits within the fences too
The choices this fall are clear: Obama~Scioscia '08
Our vaunted 3-4-5 Goose egg triplets for BOTG
And at least we had the luxury of weeding out another not-ready-for-prime-time pitcher in Kevin Jepson.
What, Halo fans worry ????
You ever feel as if your mind had started to erode?
hunter really botched that play in center
not a fun game to go to. Oh well.
The Angels may have beat them 8 times in a row, but winning three before they do is all that matters.
BOTG: Jepsen
Welcome to the big leagues (yes, I am being a hardass).
So who will step up and be our 4th bullpener?
Who will be our 4th starter?
GA almost at .300 hot hot
Vlad above .300 hot hot
Napoli at .250. What? The boy is hot.
GMJ has something to prove. Watch out, he might impress if he makes the
squad. Wouldn’t that be something if he rocks in the playoffs. You never know.
Angel Pitching, Angel Defense - get past that.
If GMJ Continues
to play the way he’s playing he damn well better be on the squad!
When I'm not at the stadium, I'd rather be watching my Halos back in Costa Rica!

Still loving that error a week clip he is rocking.
The Angels may have beat them 8 times in a row, but winning three before they do is all that matters.
Kendrick!
I don’t see anybody mentioning the return of Kendrick and his 2 for 3 outing in the game! THAT is the big story here, better than the HRs
Keepin' It Positive ! ! !
Very True. And who has been producing at the plate and is going to make a positive impact at some key point in the playoffs is…………………………….yes…………………………….it’s true……………………………….believe it or not………………………………..Gary Matthews Jr.. Yes, Sarge Jr. ! This guy has a certain attitude to him, which, up until the last few weeks we all couldn’t stand. Arrogance and basic Suckage for a guy earning way too many millions for his worth. And it’s that contract which is what really bothers us Halo fans, but don’t blame Gary for the contract or for asking. Blame the guy who went out and got him. That being said: This certain attitude he carries is now ,is more like a “I’ll show you I’m worth the money attitude” and he seems more focused now than before. This guy looks like he’s out to prove that he want’s the hardware as much or more than anyone else on the Halos.

I agree to a point. He has played better over the last couple of weeks.
It may be a certain amount of pride kicking in and getting healthier.
Whatever the case, I would be as happy as anyone if he helps the team get to & win the WS.
