Cy Jimenez to pitch for Sea tonight?
Tidbits
While praising his infielders for their consistently solid defense, Scioscia said there was a period of time this season, before Erick Aybar dislocated his right pinkie diving for a ball on May 20 in Toronto, that he thought Aybar was “the best defensive shortstop in our league.” … Mike Napoli said his homer to center on Tuesday night, estimated at 447 feet, “was about as long as I’ve hit one. I got extended on a fastball, and it just took off.” … With the second-place Rangers coming to Anaheim to finish the season this weekend, the Angels have a chance to become the first team to win a division by 20 or more games since the Indians in 1999. Since the advent of divisional play in 1969, seven teams have done it, and four of those — the 1975 Reds, the 1986 Mets, the 1995 Braves and the 1998 Yankees — have gone on to win the World Series. Also claiming their division by 20 or more games were the 1983 White Sox, the 1995 Indians (beaten by the Braves in the World Series) and the ’99 Indians. Two teams won by at least 20 games before 1969 — Pittsburgh in 1902 and the 1906 Chicago Cubs.
Whodathunk we would be rooting for a former Ranger come August, er September...? Miss ya Kotch, but for now Tex is HUGE!
Terry Smith mentioned on the broadcast yesterday...
that many Mariners people told him that nobody had ever hit one all the way to the batter’s eye at Safeco.

1. No. Obviously five relievers…
2. No. I would not feel so all alone. All pinch hitters must get stoned!
3. No. This is a very Dylanesque question. With the tricky wordplay and all. I know what you wrote this question for, your brand new leapard skin pill box hat…..
