Angels' Jon Garland says he doesn't deserve to be a playoff starter
"If it was my decision, I wouldn't be a starter, not with what I've seen from Ervin Santana, John Lackey, Joe Saunders and Jered Weaver," Garland said before tonight's game against Seattle.
"Whatever Mike wants me to do, I will do. I'm not going to complain. I'll do whatever he wants me to do, the best that I can."
well... that makes it easy... good attitude though.

With a humble, honest self assessment like that. In a era of over inflated, selfish athletes comments like this prove there are still some good character driven pros out there.

I know the ERA is now high, but I think Garland did a nice job for us this year, look at other team's 4th or 5th starters
and he shows class!

the ERA’s a little high, but it’s hard to argue with the job he did for us.
he had some bumps, for sure, but overall, i think he had a pretty solid season
