Deadspin/Leitch making Bissinger look better by the day

http://deadspin.com/5056068/alds-preview-angels-vs-red-sox

Will Leitch came back to write a bunch of playoff preview columns. The LAA/BOS one is particularly funny to read because it's basically written from the perspective of someone who hasn't really paid attention to either team this year and is seemingly running off what ESPN and a quick read of the standings and stats show him.

For one, he says Garland is our Game 2 pitcher.

And that we're 2-9 in the playoffs since the World Series

and then there's the "about to implode on itself" talk that seems to neglect the cheap, young talent currently anchoring the team as well as those in AAA and AA that would prevent any implosion. Its actually pretty funny, here's what Leitch says of our team's makeup:

"they've never felt like a Mariners in '01 dominant team. They just seemed that way because the rest of their division is so feeble. And as steady as their starters are, they're just the type of staff that the patient Red Sox hitters feed off."

and oh yes, *"One gets the feeling that when the Angels finally get too old and bloated, the implosion will happen immediately and last a while ..."*

And they thought Buzz Bissinger was crazy for claiming they gave blogs a bad name with irresponsible, uninformed drivel...
