Game 1 Red Sox Starter: Jon Lester
Well I for one am extrememly delighted to see Lester starrting away from Fenway in this series. Dude has been lights out at Fenway over his three year career (didn't pitch in 2007).
Take a look at these stats:
Jon Lester
Last Three years
At Fenway: 16-2 3.34 ERA 1.34 WHIP .254 BAA
On Road: 11-6 4.37 ERA 1.45 WHIP .277 BAA
This Year:
At Fenway: 11-1 2.49 ERA 1.19 WHIP .240 BAA
On Road: 5-5 4.09 ERA 1.37 wHIP .275 BAA

Nice compilation of data...
now let’s hope those are HALOS homeruns you are catching out there in P237.
The kid is nails.
That being said, those numbers make me feel better.
The Angels may have beat them 8 times in a row, but winning three before they do is all that matters.
The Angels destroy lefties
And it’s been no different against Lester. The only reason he didn’t lose his start against the Angels this year is because the Sox tied it up after he left. But the Angels pounded him pretty good.
Lester’s a good pitcher, no doubt. But I think we can handle him. Those numbers against the Angels are all without Tex.
I feel the need, the need...for speed!
if thats not a bad case of small-sample-size-to-over-extrapolation, then i dont know what is
you might wanna get that checked out.
