Ervin and Izzy Arbitration
Hey! What's the story? I'm looking at a list of players who have submitted their numbers for arbitration (the list appears on MLB Rumors web site) and neither Ervin's nor Izzy's ask or sell price appear. So what's different about them?
The other issue is why go into the arbitration process with a player like Ervin who has been great and try to put him down. Because, after all that's what you do in arbitration negotiations. Sure Ervin was only making 440K last year. So what are the Angels offering? And what is he asking? It's no different than Ryan Howard. Or is it?
As to Izzy, we're not talking big money but still it's the principal. There should be a standard where every team has to publish the bid and ask.
Your thoughts? Or did I miss something?

A bit mean aren’t ya? There are no published numbers. You can delete the post if it bothers you.
Why is that mean
It looked like you were only going to one site. There are other sites. Google might list them. The post doesn’t bother me at all.
How dare you come here to talk and ask questions about the Angels

Obviously Santana and Izzy ...
just don’t make that particular writer’s list of priorities. Get over it. Not every article reports everything.
Does it even claim to be an exhaustive list??

Posting to an Angels blog makes me macho???
At last!
Seriously, all I think Rev was saying is do your research. I work at a rather well-known, well-staffed publication and even at that level you have no idea how many internal people call our office to ask questions that could be discovered by a simple GOOGLE search. I’m sure Rev has experienced the same.
Friends?

Don't know where you are comming from

You know...
Friend is what you say to your dentist after you write them a $3,000 check. It’s also what you call them when they hold that drill to your mouth.
But sure like the Obama administration it’s time for transparency. The FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) doesn’t mean go look for this particular hidden fact about this player or that player.
Baseball has come a long way with free agency and the players union. But this information is not transparent. I don’t want to go hunting some unknown and unreliable OC Register’s reporter supposed knowledge of the salary.
OK. While we’re at it. I apologize for calling you macho. It is not called for.
Same as above.

It makes things so much easier to try and understand where all the comments are coming from. That’s why they put the button there, to use.
Can you help me locate my lost million dollars?
