As much as I love Downing, I’m OK with him not being considered a hall of famer. But it pisses me off to see inferior candidates come so close to getting elected, and then showing off their sense of entitlement pouting about how they were robbed.

Downing over Rice?
Love Downing, grew up worshipping him, but I doubt many pitchers truly feared him. Not so of Rice.
Is Rice a Hall of Famer? Probably not.
