Travel Day Rally Thread
The Halos are traveling across the United States. Far away from home, and into hostile territory.
Because of the early start time for Game 3 of the ALDS (6:07 in the AM for us here in Hawaii), I have started this Road Trip Rally Thread. So you can show your support for the Lads in Red until the morning of the game, or today so you can get some extra sleep tonight. That way you can get plenty of rest, and not gas out during gametime.
This Fan-Post is authored by an independent fan. Tell us what you think and how you feel.

I work for a law firm in Orange County, and last night I ran into one of our clients at the bar who was locked up with Andrew Gallo.
Apparently Gallo get’s punked quite a bit by some of the inmates, and a lot by the guards. Not sure how much of this is true…if any, but he also told me he (they) spit in his food everyday.

Isn't his trial supposed to start soon?

His lawyer quit the case so the court appointed lawyer needs some time to catch up.
THIS… IS… ANAHEIM!!

Bobbu Abreu on Wikipedia...
Bob Kelly “Bobby” Abreu (pronounced /əˈbreɪ.uː/) (born March 11, 1974 in Turmero, Venezuela), nicknamed “El Comedulce” and also “La Luche”, is a Major League Baseball outfielder for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
How ’bout we just call him “The Candyman?”
God needed a starter. RIP #34

Heh.
Chupa is a pretty sweet nickname. Although some sort of delivery man type nickname would be good as well.
This team is our extended family, That's why we love them no matter what the record, no matter what the score.

Interesting coincidence
because the Angels’ first play-by-play guy was Bob Kelley.

Nice work eyespy
Screw hostile territory. It’s time for some fall cleaning, let’s break out the brooms.

Doyers taking it to the Cards...
I’ve been to a couple of games at Bush, it’s usually pretty raucous. You could hear pin drop right now…

What's up with the Cards?
I think they forgot how to play baseball.
I’m hoping to hear the same silence tomorrow coming from Boston.

c'mon Cards.
all games except the Angels need to go the limit. That way they will be tired – I hope.

when you have a team playing hot.........
the last thing you want is extended time off.
It’s better for the Halos to keep things rolling.

Ugh.
I think a team of Church Cardinals or the actual birds would play better than St. Louis. This is infuriating. I have to hear it from all my obnoxious Doyer fans about how “this is the year!”. Idiots.
I really hope there isn’t a freeway series. I’d rather take on Philly or Colorado.

OMG...
Here goes TBS again previewing tomorrows game talking about how the Sox could possibly get it done. After all, a couple of teams have done it before (and all in the AL)…
Oooo. Can’t touch that rock-solid evidence.
Gag.
God needed a starter. RIP #34

Well, ESPN did show a history graphic last night
And it looks like over the past 5 Red Sox playoff appearances this decade, when they’re down 2-0 in a series, they’ve been swept out on 2 occasions and on 3 occasions have come back to win it. Admittedly a small sample size, but that’s a 60% comeback probability.
This thing is definitely not in the bag.
RIP Nick Adenhart.

This thing IS far from over. But this is a different Angels team. They are on a mission.

Oh yes, I agree with you, too
I just think people shouldn’t be getting arrogant like the Boston fans were just a few days ago…

I think of it sorta like when the players celebrate
I would rather talk trash to the RS fans now, after each win, because there have been too many times when waiting until they won the series never happened.
Besides, just wait until the Yankees series. They talk as much crap but they are actually a bit smarter. (not saying much though)

No complacence!
Remember, the Sux have a history of comebacks—won the 2007 ALCS after being down 3-1 and a couple strikes away from elimination, came back in the 2008 ALCS in a similar situation (against Kazmir, no less!) even though eventually lost, famously came back against the Yanks in 2004, did it once or twice against the A’s…and there’s always that infamous 1986 episode…so let’s not assume we’re going anywhere after tomorrow!
NOW LET’S GO WIN!
RIP Nick Adenhart.

i really wish they'd change the start time since the Doyers won...
but alas, i’m not that lucky. :(
Thank you, Nick Adenhart. You will always be remembered. #34

I find it very interesting that the Chowd crowd is so small this time
I wonder why? I seem to remember that when Arte tightened up the policies for season ticket holders a few years ago, one of his stated reasons was limiting the number of opposition fans. Does anyone else remember this?
by rspencer on Oct 10, 2009 10:52 PM PDT reply actions 0 recs
ya i remember that
you where only aloud to sell like 20-30 games out of the 82.
thats what your talking about right?

This is the game that will show
what kind of team we’re rooting for: A team that can’t finish down the stretch or a team that does everything in its power to take the trophy back to Anaheim.
Let’s go, offense! Let’s go, Scott! Let’s go, Angels!!!! :D
