ABREU SLAPS FIGGINS IN THE FACE DURING CELEBRATION
ALDS GAME 3, OCTOBER 11 2009
After Guerrero slaps a single into centerfield to score Chone Figgins, Bobby Abreu comes home without looking at Figgins with his hands up and SLAPS HIM IN THE FACE LOL (WATCH NEAR THE VERY END). And in the middle of the clip, about 00:21, you can hear several Angels shout "FUCK YEAH" After Guerrero's single. Good times.
WE SWEPT THE CHOWDS!!! ANGELS ARE GONNA BE THE 09 WORLD SERIES CHAMPS!!!! THIS IS FOR YOU NICK!!!

Watching Aybar in the clip is inspiring.
Everyone was hysterically happy, but i can’t help but notice Aybar’s reaction to seeing his old friend, pal, and idol get what turned out to be the game-winning hit.
A few things I noticed...
1) Can’t believe Papelbon threw Vlad a low fastball on the 1st pitch. Along with walking Torii to get to Vlad, that’s as close as you get to taunting a tiger panther with raw meat strapped to your cojones.
2) They are fleeting, but some of the looks on fans faces after Abreu scores is…priceless. And the silence…the deafening silence.
3) I’m surprised Figgy didn’t have some facial swelling. Abreu slapped him pretty hard.
This game is one for the ages!
hopefully the slap will wake him up in time for the ALCS ;)
the silence was probably the best thing about the entire game. pure shock for the chowds wondering how the invincible sox had lost in their fortress of solitude. oh well, at least they got to watch their patriots win… wait …

reminded me of the was at the angels/orioles game (when the fan ran onto the field – priceless). when they IBB walked Abreu to get to Big Vladdy Daddy, and what did he do? Put them in the seats.

I am fan various years ago.
Clip of TV and Radio calls...
shows a reverse angle of the slap and you can see Figgy shake off the slap. Didn’t even phase him…see the reverse angle of the slap at 0:58 mark.
