Korean Writeup of Angels ALDS Triumph
Koreans apparently love SBN sites for their American sports coverage - check out that link, it is pretty cool to see our guys as the world sees them. Get used to it, I guess...

RIP Nick Adenhart :(
I need someone to translate the translation...
…because I can’t make sense out of the Google translation to…English? Google has some work to do on thier translation programming.
Good stuff...
I have been stationed in Korea for the past year and will be coming home next week, just in time to attempt to get some tickets for the ALCS and World Series. I have gone to 2 Korean Baseball Organization games in the past month, and had the best time. The atmosphere, even for regular season games, was electric from pregame to final out. The stadium is pretty much split down the middle, with each team’s fan occupying one side. Each team has cheerleaders, and amazing team cheers, some set to random American songs (It’s A Small World, If You’re Happy and You Know It). The fans, players, and especially Korean kids were fun to be around. Several players mingled near the outfield fences during BP. Everyone in our group was thrown a ball from one of the players during BP. Below are some pictures.

I had to take a picture of this Angel fan. I tried to get a picture with her, pointing out my Angels jersey and her hat, but no go due to the language barrier.

One of the Lotte Giants cheerleaders/clowns. Here, he is seen throwing ice cream bars into the crowd.

He later distributed these orange shopping bags to the Giants fans. I think this could be the next big thing at the Big A, with red bags of course.

Cheerleaders performing on their stage. The songs, dancing, and noise were non-stop.

Drums were found all over the stadium, adding to the noise.
All told, it was definitely one of the most fun things I did while in Korea. In a small way, I wish that American baseball games were as electric, and that the fans were as into the game in the US.
wow
that’s funny that you all were trying to get that article translated… I’m Korean but I still wouldn’t bother…
I was at the WBC final at dodger’s stadium between Korea and Japan and the stands were literally swaying with all the commotion.
Korean love their baseball~!
kind of.
a lot of the games are like half empty.
i’d say koreans are super, super passionate and loud.
"it's mind-bottling."
Having been at one of the WBC Japan/Korea games
I can confirm that both countries’ fans are very passionate and loud. They were cheering for everything: their country, the players, home runs, base hits, strikeouts, pop-outs, foul balls, weak grounders, routine plays, pickoff attempts, bunts, infield practice, etc….
