38 Excuses, er, I mean Pitches
I truly can't wait to see Curt Schilling's next blog post, explaining just exactly what happened to the mighty Red Sox over the past few days.
Go over and check out what he had to say about the series just before it started. Schilling freely threw up all over the Angels roster, crumbing on John Lackey as a weak Game 1 starter, to the everyday lineup not being an effective playoff team, to the shortcomings of the bullpen. It was a comprehensive lambasting of our team.
After watching the Sox be completely outplayed and outnutted over the past 4 days, I just can't wait to see Schilling's explanation of why the mighty have fallen. Was it the umpires? The will of the gods? Or what?
Why hasn't Schilling posted anything since the series began? Hmmm, I wonder...

Schilling is an obnoxious attention whore
He should stick to coloring his socks with a red magic marker.

I actually kinda liked Curt* 'til I read this.
*Not as a player.
Let's do this for Nick Adenhart, Courtney Stewart, and Henry Pearson.

Still waiting Curt.
Maybe he thinks that if he just waits long enough, the whole Boston getting dominated thing will go away.
I just want to see the guy bend over, give the Halos their due props, and take the ribbing in good spirit. He so belittled the Angels in that interview, and obviously made some of the worst predictions possible for this series; now he should man up, come out, and give the halos their due.
Likely? We’ll see. Unless of course he retires from talking permanently. Yeah right.

You didn't read the more recent posts
His (very modest) mea culpa states here:
Look at the Angels. They did what I didn’t think they could in shutting down the Boston offense. Lackey came through huge; so did their other starters.
But in my opinion, the series-changing player was Abreu. Having played with Bobby for a few years in Philly, it certainly didn’t shock me, nor do I think it shocked Tito. This guy is and has been a VERY good player for a long time. He gave their offense a dimension it NEVER had in years past and even just one hitter in that lineup with his makeup changed EVERYTHING from an approach standpoint. Not only that, but he had a phenomenal series.
