John Kruk is a moron
Not that we already don't know John Kruk is an east coast biased baseball analyst, but even this stupidity I do not expect from him or anyone else from ESPN. John Kruk actually said the Yankees are the best baserunning team in MLB better than the Angels and the Phillies. Thank God Buck Showalter is there to set him straight. So check out this ESPN here his reasoning for this here is the link: http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/notebook?page=bbtn if you scroll down a little bit it will say running game over a video link.

All those guys grew up in the east.
So it’s probably ingrained in them. They probably didn’t even know there was baseball teams on the west coast when they were kids.
It’d be nice if ESPN hired a guy who grew up out here or knows out here at least.
Buck Foston!
Hey look, I just saw a pig fly overhead at that suggestion....there he goes!
:-D
RIP Nick Adenhart.

Thanks, Red, I kept looking and looking for that one.
Let's do this for Nick Adenhart, Courtney Stewart, and Henry Pearson.
I think you are being a tad bit sensitive.
He said they were the best team going, not best base running team.
Play Wood already. Willits sucks.
John Kruk just did a thing on Sportscenter
He was previewing the CS matchups. In his analysis of the Angels and Yankees, he only talked about Yankees. Several of them. No mention of the Angels even as a team. And he also talked about the worries of the World Series for the Yankees as if it was a foregone conclusion. I really don’t know why I watch anymore. No substantive value, and MLB Network is so much better. I like PTI on espn, and that’s really about it.
RIP #34
Thats why I like Buck.
he didnt jump on the angels bandwagon this year, he has liked them in past years. I hate Kruky because of his gay ass mullet back in the day, let alone his shitty imput on a daily basis.
They want power, We want respect...
John Kruk sounds like a guy ...
that watches to much ESPN to get all of his sports information. That he then turns around to make it sound like fact to people that he thinks likes him for his knowledgeable mind.
I know many people that just watch ESPN
and try to make themselves sound like they are the “experts.”

Oh, wait you said ESPN. I don't know where Joe Morgan works, but he is just about the worst thing in the booth.
THIS… IS… ANAHEIM!!
i dont know about that....
Yes, Joe Morgan isn’t exactly my favorite color commentary guy, but he has always offered praise to the Angels 2002 run. He said we played the game the way it should be played. I respect him for that.

I'm not a huge fan of Kruk
But Steve Phillips is the biggest moron at ESPN. It has nothing to do with his bias (I actually think he’s had good things to say about the Angels) just that almost everything out of his mouth is complete garbage (even the nice things about the Angels are off base). How that man ever became a GM is remarkable.
I feel the need, the need...for speed!
The east coast bias - ESPN Yankee - Sox bias talk all the time
is like a big pot of beans that can be reheated over and over, always tastes the same, and the farts from consuming it always smell like shit.

remember this incident:
probably it scarred him for life…haha

WATCH MLB TONIGHT!
No bias and better analysts who actually played at a very high level and still can articulate cohesive thoughts and insight into the game. Watching ESPN coverage on the ALCS reads like “Jeter, A-Rod, Rivera, Pettite, Posada Texeira, Sabathia, Burnett, Swisher, Penny Lane and the Bronx Bombers lead by Joe Girardi vs the faceless angels”.
The only way the Angels will get respect is to kill the creamers like they did the Sox and either kill the defending champs or our cross county rival (and maybe on that day Jim Rome will realize there really are two teams in SoCal). Then they have to repeat.
I do like Harold Reynolds.....
talking about Aybar now. Man he does have a hell of an arm.
Well, sir, you are a cowardly son of a bitch! You just shot an unarmed man!.......Well, he should have armed himself if he's going to decorate his saloon with my friend. – Will Munny
Freaking Harold Reynolds picked the Yankees to beat us
We are the Los Angeles Angels of the late 2000s
Not everyone that picks the Yankees is biased.
They should be favored, they have home advantage, they had a better record, etc….

I will concede the home field. I will not concede the better record.
Overall, the Yankees won only 6 games more than the Halos. But they got to do this in the AL East, where there were two teams available (Baltimore and Toronto) who were busy coughing up a combined 94 losses inside their own division.
Meanwhile, the Halos played in the AL West. I know what you are thinking, but know this: in 2009 the AL West was a combined .546 winning percentage against the AL East, which was .454 against the AL West.
You too can be a baseball media analyst! Just don't allow your need to be wrong in public to get in the way of your ignorance.

You are wrong on Rome
I listen to him every day. He talks a lot of Halos. Hell Hunter is on the show today. He loves the Angels
Play Wood already. Willits sucks.
you listen to 570 am or Jim Rome is burning?

And to think
before I had the internet, my options for sports coverage were ESPN, sports talk radio, LA Times/OC Register, and the local news. And outside the register, Halo coverage was essentially non-existant. God, how the hell was I able to stay a fan for so long? Really makes me appreciate being able to come to a place like HH.
Kruk is just dumb
I don’t think he’s smart enough to be biased. The guy has a hard enough time carrying one thought through to the end of a sentence. He’s harmless. You have to have teeth in order to bite.
john Kruk never knew baserunning
from his days as a player to now the man is hardly an expert on running. About the only time he runs now is to the freezer for a beer during commercials
Soccer is for people to small and wussy for real football
Yankees and Red Sox ...buying your way into playoffs every year
beer slushies?
He freezes his beer? For that, the man is sheer genius.
I love this team.
