Poll
Is Game 2 a "Must-Win" for the Angels?
No. They can come back down 0-2, especially with the next 3 at home.

Yes, although it pains me to agree with pinstriped pinheads.

I wish but roster is already out

and Figgins is right there in the leadoff spot…..whoopy doo!

First we had a Salmon and now we have a Trout, let's see the same results.

Why oh why couldn't they play this game during the day?

It was warmer and dry, there was even a little sun. Wouldn’t have lost a lot of viewers since it is a Saturday. I guess the only reason is that it makes too much sense and the MLB is allergic to sense.

From a Tigers fan to you boys (and gals)...

…beat the damn Yankees. We’re all pulling for you in Detroit.

Weather's looking gross in NY

Grating nails on a chalkboard is better than listening to Joe Buck

Not only did the Tigers only win one game on national TV this year, we also had to listen to Joe Buck while doing it.

Ugh.

by john.kmiecik on Oct 17, 2009 4:39 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

ouch.

But at least he’s a little more tolerable than Chip Caray. Worst 4 games to listen to all year.

I think I grew attached to FISTED

Didn’t think I’d ever say this but, yeah, Joe Buck is a refreshing change.

by john.kmiecik on Oct 17, 2009 4:45 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

FISTED!

and hot shot. Can’t forget how every other hit was a hot shot (the alternates, of course, being FISTED into whatever field). Is it bad that I’m almost glad we are out of it so there isn’t anymore of that announcing?

If the Twins can almost take Burnett out, I have great faith in your Angels.

and the whipped cream thing…how quaint.

gotta get baseball in somehow

and since you couldn’t pay me to hope the Yankees win, I’m gladly rooting for the Angels. :)

I actually rooted for the Twins in the LDS

But no way was I going to root for them in the LCS. Been hoping for a Halos/Dodgers WS the whole way.

Can't blame you for that

the Angels are making a good case for deserving the WS title this year.

said in manager yanks have the edge that (summarizing here) even though scoc managed 2002 WS champs, giradi has played in two ws and there are 4 players on the team that played for them during that late 1990s run.
