Man, you have a sunny disposition.
I simply don’t have the heart to have that much optimism. Sorry.

Look, it would be nice...
…and it can be done.
But when a man has just been punched in the gut, it might be asking too much of him to donate to the March of Dimes.

The Angels have been in a giving mood...
the past two games. Now, it is time to TAKE IT BACK. Four in a row, yo!
I love this team.

i would be pessimistic if the big bad yankees...
were beating the crap out of us but that’s not the case. if we played better defense this series is probably at worst tied and 1-1

This is why I don't read them during the post season.
Too, too, many new HH recruits thinking they got all the answers to everything. Full of complaints by the usual, and the almighty popular “game over” without that poster leaving, but filling the rest of us with their pain, and grief. LIKE WE CARE.
If you think the game is over, leave, go to bed, or at least quit posting. Your bad vibes are leaching the good vibes out of the rest of us.

Seriously?
Guy, there’s place in the world for pessimism along-side optimism. Not everything has to have a positive outcome, and not everyone even believes there will be one. Don’t take any comment that points out a negative of the club as a personal sleight, and you might be better off for it.
And besides, It’s right in the rules: “OPTIMISTIC? Don’t bully others into cheering along”
I’m definitely not optimistic right now, and I’m in absolutely no mood to be bullied.

But seriously...

You give optimists a bad name.
by shiftyeyedgoat on Oct 18, 2009 1:59 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
I'd like to say that you're giving pessimists a good name...
…but that degree of contradiction would trample on my sunny disposition

I'm not one to bully, but am I not not allowed to post my view.
I don’t care to be the cheerleader. I ain’t no glee club member either.
And maybe “good vibes” shouldn’t have been the choice of words for that post. But maybe sucking the fun out of everything good about this site with all your unearned, unwarranted, and unnecessary extra whining, could have been.
I just don’t understand how we can make the post season almost every year and we still “Suck” after every play, or the “it’s over” in the top of the 3rd inning of a game, then at 3-1/3, 3-2/3, 4 … . All by the same members, and a majority of the new recruits.
And if you, out there, don’t like me being the bully, which I think I am not, I am sorry for preaching. But please don’t bring me down more than a couple of time’s per at bat, out, half inning, inning, game, day, series, it does get moldy fast. And I can see that’s why your social skills wane.
Get out of your cave, and enjoy the teams success’, and complain when it hurts. You could have been born a fan of another American League team, or the Dodgers.

That is why I made this post.
It’s not all about being gleefull, but you nailed it with your third paragraph.

I'm with you. A couple of the guys on last night were trolls, and a couple just needed to go lie down with a cold compress.
Geez, I’ve seen women in labor, IN TRANSITION, who complained less.

Some men. I would exclude moondoggy and mr opiejeanne from that list, maybe a few more with proper evidence.
My dear husband drove himself to the hospital (Kaiser in Fontana was the nearest to Riverside, no local clinics yet) with a ruptured appendix it didn’t hurt that much. He insisted it was just the flu and led the drs astray so well that it took them several hours to figure out that it was his appendix. The surgeon talked to me afterward and said it was the worst he’d ever seen, and he had been a surgeon for about 40 years.
I’d rather he was a bit more of a baby sometimes.

Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?
(yeah, it’s getting old, but it’s still a goodie).

I do think we can come back and win this
Rivera has been over used, the Yanks only have 3 starting pitchers. Sweep at home, split at the stadium and head to the WS.

Thank you!
I agree!
I’m feeling some magic in the basement too. I think they’ll come in tomorrow, win game 1 out of anger.
Then they’ll win game 2 when Kazmir owns the Yankee offense while the Halos get to a tired C.C.
Last they’ll win game three and get into the Yankees heads.
My prediction after the next three games: Angels lead series 3-2
Here we come!

What a dope.
Big Bad, ‘Vlad’! is the kind of guy that goes and visits his grandmother in a hospice, and tells her to cheer up.
I've got nothing.

No, he goes and visits his grandmother and comforts her. He doesn't sit and wail by her bedside even though he feels like doing so.
Some of us have done this in Real Life.

I'm pretty sure it's got to be him.
I can’t imagine anyone not liking me.
I’m cute and cuddly, I’m like a human rally monkey.

Spird is a dope
Spird’s the type of guy that goes to visit his grandmother in hospice and expects her to know his movie quotes, but calls her crazy when he doesn’t know hers.

It's not that I don't like you,
It was a long and hard game, with well, let’s say a bit of drinking going on, I very much respect you as a Angel’s fan, and well, even though maybe I don’t like you, I will do better though about calling you names :).

This is where we’re going to put them down
