One Game at a time, this Series is NOT OVER
For all the Angels fans that are bailing out, that are hanging up their halos and heading for the door, GO! Get off the rally monkey's back, get in your cars and drive to the Staple Center...or wherever the next fair weather fan event is being held. Because this is the part of being a fan where it takes guts, where it takes FAITH, this is exactly the kind of series that tests everything, the manager, the team, and yes, the fans. So if this is where you get off, good, because from here on out, it's true Angel fans only.
This SERIES IS a LONG WAY from being over, ANGELS in 7! ANGELS in 7. PERIOD.
Our team went to New York, played in the cold, played in the rain, played against the best team money can buy, perhaps one of the best teams on paper, in our generation. No Yankee team has EVER hit this many home runs, they have 4 MVP candidates if you count A-Rod, Jeter, Tex, and CC and then Mariano Rivera isn't far behind in that category...so yes, this is FAR and AWAY the most STACKED team in the league, by about 80 million dollars!!! That being said, Baseball is about momentum and chemistry, that is why this Yankee team still lost 57 games this year despite being stuffed to the neck with cash.
The Angels just rolled over Boston like a tank running over plastic toy army men, and after all that buildup and hype, it was almost too easy. Boston had a glass jaw this year, the crumbled after one Torii Hunter uppercut, sprawled out on the floor in a puddle of steroids and stool. Their fans ran to their cars to hide the tears....
SO OUR team lost 2 games, that is why it's a 7 game series and not a 3 game series. The Yankees were supposed to win the first two, the Angels are supposed to win the next 3. We kicked Yankee but heading into the All STAR break and by god we can do it again, with even more gusto and vigor! If that happens....not only are we back in this thing, we can win this thing. In fact, we HAVE to win 2 of the next 3 and then just hold the line and muscle out a couple more. It won't be easy, it won't be relaxed, and IT NEVER SHOULD BE. EXPECT A BATTLE! EXPECT AN ANGEL's HERO to step up, Expect a miracle. WE ARE THE ANGELS.
STEP UP ANGELS FANS and BELIEVE IT!
GO ANGELS, and hell yes, I AM STILL PROUD OF THIS DAMN TEAM!!!!
This Fan-Post is authored by an independent fan. Tell us what you think and how you feel.

I believe
I refuse to believe we’ll lose this series until the final out of the final game and I sincerely believe that this is a special team and that we will prevail.
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.

You watch them rise
You better damn well watch them fall too.
But the Angels won’t.

I'm here 'til the last strike.
I remember sitting in the stands at game 5 of the ALCS, rain pouring down, watching the White Sox cheer on our field…
I hope we can give that feeling to Yankees fans when we return to New York.

Too much optimism
Ya, I’m still pissed from last night. The Angels have that look in their eyes again – the same look they had against Boston in the previous LDS series.
Unless they get their balls back and find some guys, we’re done.

You are 100 per cent correct.
We can’t play the game. All we can do is be optimistic, and if we’re going to a game, voice this optimism in no uncertain terms. This I plan to do on Tuesday, even though I have the mother of all toothaches and no reasonable expectation of relief before then.
I haven’t come this far as a a fan to give up while there is still a fighting chance. How can I expect our boys to man up if I don’t?

I am hoping that coming home will give the Angels the energy they need, they have to clean it up, they’re playing horribly, man up, bring back the swagger and the confidence, its just the damn Yankees, guys, we used to OWN this team, REMEMBER??
I have tickets to Tuesdays game…look for me on t.v. in right field…I’ll be the one wearing red…GO HALOS!!!!!!!!!

I'll be there on Tuesday
NO MATTER WHAT!!! I’ll be cheering for my team until the end even if that is not the outcome I want.
I’ll be cheering for the guys tomorrow at work. So to those Angels fans that go to Monday’s games – you need to be yelling for us who are at work. Our heart and heads will be cheering but you use your voice and let us be heard too.

Remember also...
Bluto: Over? Did you say “over”? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!
Otter: Germans?
Boon: Forget it, he’s rolling.
Bluto: And it ain’t over now. ‘Cause when the goin’ gets tough…
[thinks hard]
Bluto: the tough get goin’! Who’s with me? Let’s go!
[runs out, alone; then returns]
Bluto: What the fuck happened to the Delta I used to know? Where’s the spirit? Where’s the guts, huh? This could be the greatest night of our lives, but you’re gonna let it be the worst. “Ooh, we’re afraid to go with you Bluto, we might get in trouble.” Well just kiss my ass from now on! Not me! I’m not gonna take this. Wormer, he’s a dead man! Marmalard, dead! Niedermeyer…
Otter: Dead! Bluto’s right. Psychotic, but absolutely right. We gotta take these bastards. Now we could do it with conventional weapons that could take years and cost millions of lives. No, I think we have to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody’s part.
Bluto: We’re just the guys to do it.
D-Day: Let’s do it.
Bluto: Let’s do it!

gotta say...
i still have some hope, even after yesterday.
Our pitching has been lights out – pitch for pitch against the yankees – something I was really worried about. We just need to work on fielding the ball, and the always fun RISP. But hey, every team sucks at RISP.
Lets get back to Angels baseball, slick fielding and timely hitting.

You know how bad I feel about their losses, I like how Angel fans are always picking each other up. I admit I felt like shit last night and thought it was over. But so far this morning all I’ve been doing is reading what all you have had to say and I must say I feel alot more optimistic about our games in Anaheim. Let’s keep believing and Go Halos!

As much as I hate the Red Sox
that was one of the best series of baseball of all time.
The Yankees were literally one strike from a World Series berth, only to lose the game and the next three to follow.
Let us hope it doesn’t come to our last strike…

I still believe this team is better than the Yanks. Weave’s gonna shut it down in game 3 and the Angel bats are light up the sky in Anaheim. Pettite, CC, and Burnett are all gonna start giving up big hits. Just look at this series like a typical Abreu at bat, long and a little unnerving but ultimately fruitfull.

If the season was a story, if it had a script...
This is exactly how the year started this season, cold, lost, demoralized, and yet…here we are, stepping up to the Yankees, the only team that can and will beat this Yankee team, is our Angel TEAM, so let’s take it away now….
This is year is a story, it’s about coming back, it’s about reaching for more, it’s about redemption and desire. This is our time. This is our team, and for that matter, this is OUR DAMN TOWN! SINCE 2002 BABY, you gotta win one to get that title back…
This is Angel time, come from behind, Vlad’s last stand, Lackey and Figgins stepping up to make a statement of their true worth, coming of age for Morales, Abreu’s revenge, Aybar erasing all doubt, Napoli doing more than hurting the atmosphere, Mathis getting a solid pressure hit, Feuntes coming back to redeem it, this is OUR TIME!

First off bless you all for not jumping off the wagon
And Props to Monk e for making the post. I never thought we would sweep Boston and we did. I didn’t think we’d sweep New York either. They are a tough team, they are a good team, but they are not unbeatable. 2 really bad decisions, along with the heavens and earth made this game 2-0 New York.
The Angels will come out on fire today. 7 Games is the prediction, in favor of New York. Lets get old Mo back on our side, and I don’t mean Vaughn either.

On the fields of Anaheim!!!
Torii: Sons of Haloland, I am Torii The Hunter.
Brandon Wood: Torii The Hunter is 7 feet tall.
Torii: Yes, I’ve heard. He scores runs by the hundreds, and if he were here he’d consume the Yankees with fireballs from his throwing arm and bolts of lightning from his ass.
I am Torii The Hunter, and I see a whole army of my teammates and fans here in defiance of money-grubbing baseball tyranny. You have come to fight as true fans, and true fans you are. What will you do with that fandom? Will you fight?
Bandwagon Fan: Fight against that? No, we will run, and we will live.
Torii: Aye, fight and you may die, run and you’ll live. At least a while. And dying in your beds many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, just one chance to come back here and tell the Yankees that they may take this series, but they’ll never take our GAME?! Baseball gu bra!
Napoli: Fine speech. Now what do we do?
Torii: Just be yourselves. (Turns to leave the dugout.)
Aybar: Where are you going?
Torii: I’m going to pick a fight.
Figgins: Well, at least you guys didn’t get dressed up for nothing.

I believe
No doubt do I believe, big deal we lost two games and the Yankees really didnt win either of those games. WE LOST BOTH GAMES, we played terrible baseball and I have to believe the the worst is behind us. We can only get better. We need to start quickly and win the first two games and then hopefully get that third game.
I 100% believe that we can get this done. If the players were told in Spring Training that all they had to do was win 4 out of five games to get to the world series I am sure all of them would take those odds.
YES WE CAN!!! Everybody needs to believe that this team can get it done!!!
