Figgins on List Twice

On MLB.com there is a list of players and coaches for the Angels and Figgins appears on the list twice. Once as Born in Brandon, Florida and the second time as born in Leary, GA. Just a little interesting screw up.

Born in GA, raised in FL

I often used to get it wrong, too, so I’m not surprised.

they actually screwed up in more ways than one, instead of born in FL it should say played h.s. / college there. they have the location correct, but it doesn’t list his high school (Brandon, FL) where he was a 3rd-team All American. I also thought he played CC for one year down there (graduated high school 1996, but drafted in 1997), but I can’t find it anywhere at the moment and don’t have a media guide.

I first asked Do the Angels have anyone born in Brandon, FL? did they get that from someone else entirely?
