When does the plastic go up...and come down?
A team clinches something; celebrating begins; the goggles go on; beer and champagne flow in the plastic-shrouded clubhouse. So when does said plastic get put up? How long does it take to put it up and to take down?
After the top of the 7th inning last night, I imagined that the plastic was going up in the Yankees clubhouse, if it hadn't already been put up. Was it taken down at the end of the 7th? Or does it take too much time to change back-and-forth, which means that it was left up until the end of the game? And then if it was left up until the end, did the Yankees return to their clubhouse to see celebration plastic, but without anything to celebrate? The thought of that happening--the Yankees seeing what *could* have been--does my heart good.

The champagne was out and ready in the Yankees dugout when the Angels came back.
This is what I have read.
I think I also remember hearing that they can get it up in half an inning, so I imagine it doesn’t take much longer to get it back down.
It could happen! Let's do this for Nick Adenhart, Courtney Stewart, and Henry Pearson.

I read a story once that said in '02 after game 6.
The Giants were heading back to the dressing room and they were still taking down the plastic.
This team is our extended family, That's why we love them no matter what the record, no matter what the score.

If they hire some good masking guys
15-30 min prep. 30sec demo.
5 guys could do a really good job in protecting the lockers. And with the pull of one string could take it all down

There was a comment in the LA Times today about stadium workers packing up the champagne and beer:
http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-yankees23-2009oct23,0,3721636.story
Excerpt:
“About 40 minutes after the final out of Thursday’s American League Championship Game at Angel Stadium, a pair of stadium workers rolled 12 cases of Korbel champagne past the visitor’s clubhouse and into a waiting elevator.
A few yards away, inside that same clubhouse, outfielder Nick Swisher looked as if he could have used a drink. Or a hug.."
THIS… IS… ANAHEIM!!
