This is our town, we are still watching OUR team compete!

Tomorrow I will turn on the tv and watch the heart and soul of Los Angeles baseball take the field. This is OUR team, home grown talent, and veterans that want to be playing here, this is a team that has stuck together through a challenging season. This is our team, and our town stretches 100 miles.

What is a team? Is it ownership, is it management, is it player development, history, is it the current cast of players?

Earlier this year I went to one of the Angels vs Dodgers games, Weaver vs Weaver, in Anaheim, the scene was wild. Dodgers fans were loud and obnoxious, the Dodgers won that game, and those fans were a little too happy about that, a little too cocky with one lousy win. But I can understand why.....

For the 20th year in a row, the Dodger fans are on the outside looking in as the world series begins this week. The Angels have a long way to go to make it in, but they are having a better showing, playing against a better opponent in a more challenging year. This Angel team is Southern California at it's finest.

So next year when the bill boards go up, I think the "our town" theme...maybe you gotta earn that with a championship for once in this millenium....

The Angels are a team first, not a real estate adventure.....

The Divorce is real, THIS IS OUR TOWN. We are here to watch baseball.
