Opposite of CC
Congrats to the Yankees and the umpires on the well earned victory.
While not taking anything away from our great season, in this country when things go wrong, we love to place the blame somewhere.
CC was named LCS MVP, and we lost so the question is who gets blame of the series for the LCS (other than the umpires). You are welcome to let the heat of the moment cool and vote after thinking it over.
Wise A** answers are welcome in the comments.

What does it matter at this point?
More than 1 guy was at fault, let’s just call it a team loss and not dwell

Bud Selig
for allowing this charade he calls ‘competitive balance’ continue by letting them sign the entire free agent market.

Funny thing is
I give a lot of the blame to the guy that GMJ SHOULD HAVE BEEN PLAYING FOR…
Juan Rivera.

Rivera was my pick too.

How can it not be Figgins?
We played nine playoff games, and he was a non-factor, complete failure in every one of them.
I've got nothing.

not true
11th inning 2 out clutch RBI.
Negated by Fuentes pitch.
We would be even 3 and 3

Fuentes got three saves in the playoffs......Figgins had about three hits.
Figgy was bad….real, real bad.
I've got nothing.

Well he *did* break Rivera's postseason scoreless streak...
But yeah, other than that and the Game 2 RBI, he was pretty horrible.
RIP Nick Adenhart.

it takes a village
You all know the saying it takes a village. Well That’s what Rivera left on the bases this postseason a large village.

Too small.
He left AT LEAST a decent size town.

Kendry Morales
He had two HUGE opportunities last night—one to tie the game and one to put the Halos ahead. He failed epically both times, with two groundouts. If he had come through in just one of those situations, the Angels would still be playing today.
Of course everyone else gets blame, too, and I LOVE Kendry, but Morales bears a BIG part of the blame for why the Halos aren’t still playing today.
A minor quibble, but a quibble nonetheless.
RIP Nick Adenhart.

Is this a joke!
You could not hit when it was clutch time. Your team left many runners on in important situations!
I believed from the beginning this would be a close series and it would go 7. I come here and there is talk of Angels in 4 or 5. What are you guys smoking?!
Now, instead of looking at how your team did in keys situations, you want to blame others for your lack of production! You would have won if more than 1 guy was hitting the ball!
How about blaming your team for not doing better against the AL west during the regular season and getting home field throughout the playoffs. You finished 6 games behind NY for best record, the Yanks finished 23-15 (.605) against the west, you went 30-27 (.526). With home field you had a chance, but you lost it by struggling against your division.
I wonder how the Yanks or the umps made you struggle against Seattle, Oakland and Texas!

That did not come across the way I intended!
The Angles are a very good club and I was not looking forward to playing them. I did think they would pose many problems for the Yanks, especially by getting on, running and forcing errors, and playing great d.
I also believe the Yanks won this series by having home field, getting the first two games at home and winning those. If those games are in California, even if the Yankees split, they are probably going back out there for a game 6 and/or 7. Under those circumstances I think they would be in trouble.
That was my point with the Angels and the lack of success they had in the regular season within their own division.
With that said, the Angels were in all but one of these games and with some timely hitting could have won at least one of them and they would have been playing tonight.
Before the Red Sox and Angels played, I decided I was going to go for Boston (although never cheer for them), that is how much I respect the Angels and how much I did not want to play them.

I had predicted Angels in 7. A few more basic plays with the glove and I was wrong by one game … Angels in 6.
I love this team.

As bad as most of the players performed...
The absolute leader in underachieving – for at least the second season in a row – is none other than Mike Scioscia.
He outdid himself – again – with an abundance of questionable, if not boneheaded, moves.
As long as he continues to stubbornly play 162 game, regular season baseball, instead of gearing up for playoff baseball, the Angels are destined to repeat this Groundhog Day scenario of coming up woefully short every postseason.

How dare Mike Scoiscia make the postseason

you're out of your freaking mind
Yeah and EVERY writer, analyst, fan (of any team) is wrong and you’re right? What the hell are you talking about?
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.

The Angels went further this year than last...
AND BEAT THE RED SOX.
The Groundhog Day analogy is way off-base, however, I can use it in a positive format: I keep waking up and we are in the playoffs. Isn’t that fantastic? ;)
I love this team.

I gotta say hunter
He wasn’t horrible but he wasn’t as good as we needed our offensive leader (no offense to abreu) to be and missed out on a few occasions to make big plays

No "offense" to Abreu
yeah, that sounds like an accurate representation of how he did in the ALCS.

the umps were AWFUL
but somehow none of those calls really had any bearing on the outcomes of the games. Our awful D and one bad pitch by Fuentes are ultimately to blame.
