I thought long and hard...
about this when I got my dog. My first choice was Torii – if it was a female. But I got a male bassett hound (all hound) and called him Boone.
i like Ersty for a dog
but only if that dog saves other animals with reckless abandon.

back in 2005, my then 9 year old son was the bat boy for the Long Beach Armada for a number of games. The 3rd baseman was a guy named Randall Shelley and he had red hair and a red beard. I found a kitten whose fur was just the same color as Randall’s hair….so that’s the cat’s name. We still have the cat. I think Randall Shelley retired from baseball and was going to become a teacher.

A pit bull would be called Lazorko
Names for DOGS are easy
Reggie, Wally, Percy, Ersty, Actually Kendry sounds like a dog name, so does Izzy and Howie. Chuck (as in Finley). Devo. Dickie (Schofield).
Names for CATS are harder.
Nolan comes to mind for a cat. So does Tanana.
DeWayne (Buice) would be a good name for a cat.
So would Corbett (Doug)
Or depending on the colour maybe Chalkie (Dave Chalk).
So would Desmond or Chone.. (figgins)
Beniquez (Benny)
Eck (Ecktein)
Johnny Ray would be a cool name for any animal.
I challenge anyone to come up with any type of animal (pet) that could be called Fregosi, Romanick, Polonia or DeCinces. Fregosi has to be a turtle.

I met Hud at a game once and told him, and his reply was classic, he said “I love that!”
This season is my best chance to get called out of the stands to pitch.
