Save Rex and Steve Petition
Joe Enciso, the moderator of HALO SPACE, sent word that he has created an online petition for fans to sign if they want to be heard in favor of retaining the services of Rex Hudler and Steve Physioc.
Will you be signing Joe's petition?

dear god no
I cannot believe that there are people with an IQ above 60 and/or over age 9 who actually like Physioc. I find it totally incomprehensible. Hud’s a different story, but seriously…Physioc? Do…Not…Want.

I won't be signing it.
I think the FO knows better than me what to do. They got it right getting rid of Phyz. Poor Hud was collateral damage as someone here said earlier.
Happy Birthday to the ground!
Dogs. Trees. Lots of barking.
Meanwhile, the real issue is elsewhere.
Had I owned the Pittsburgh Pirates, I could have saved America.
Stupid petitions hurt my brain.
What do you need a fancy suit for, Charlie, you ain't got no job to wear it to.
Petitions nevar do anything.
Internets 101.
Though I would love Rex to come back…
RIP Nick Adenhart :(
I will miss them...
But, I think it is time to try something new.
As 1866baseball.com might say:
I admire all decision Angel baseball manager personnel make decide.
I love this team.
and when directed from some kid's myspace page?
umm…no
The 2009 Pregame Picks Winner and Iron Man of Halos Heaven.com
Every now and again they have.
I think we need to start a “NO! Don’t change your mind!!!” petition and cut ’em off at the pass.
For some offseason fun, check out the Mac & Windows Space Shooter game I helped make: Insectoid
Which is exactly why I'm starting my online petition to ban online petitions.

Angels baseball. We do what we must, because we can -- HaloDutch
No, Please No !
When I heard the news of the firing on the radio a few days ago loudly exclaimed “Yeah!” while driving down the road, as if I had just heard an Angels walk-off homerun call.
Why would the Angels brass (Carpino et al,) undo such a wise move? I think BOTH Physioc AND and Hudler needed to go. As Rev. stated Phyz was simply the worst in the Biz. ,and for his part, Rex was just a clown — an enthusiastic clown, but a clown nonetheless. I don’t remember the poster but someone recommended that if Hud stays his job should be to come out in the 7th Inning in a Ralley Monkey suit, run on the field and pump up the crowd. I don’t think he’s suited to doing anything more than that.

I would take Rex
(or static for that matter) over Jose Mota any day of the week. 20 games into 2010 and Im going to be searching for toothpicks to keep my eyelids open.

Signed my signature and email
for the worthless spam I’ll ultimately receive…
But hopefully the symbolic token will be taken as one last-ditch effort to bring back the Hud dog.
Unlike the poster upthread
I won’t join in questioning the intelligence or parentage of anyone who wants to keep Rex or Phyz. I’ll just say I think the organization made a good move.
Witty .sig goes here.
Halo Space Thanks You
Hi Halos heaven-Rev Halofan-
I wanted to get on here and say thank you for posting the petition for me. I just wanted to let you know that when we posted the petition we thought of Rex and Steve as a team. Of course we all have our favorites. :-) (My Personal favorite is Rex ,too)
I also wanted to introduce myself. I am (No Way) Jose Enciso and I am the moderator for Halo Space on Myspace. I am 29 yrs old and although I am a kid by some standards I consider myself an avid and experienced fan. For those of you who are wondering who I am, I am the guy holding the 400 sign for Vlad when he hit his 400th career home run. I am a fan of action. :-) I hope to hear from any of you if you want to stop by my page. :-)
Again Just wanted to pop in and say Thanks to Halos Heaven for helping me out in getting some signatures to see what we can do to Bring back Rex and Steve! I go by the motto of “The worst thing to do is nothing” If you do nothing there’s no chance or no hope. But at least if you try you have a shot :-)
Take Care and thanks again

happy to help
my personal choice would have been to pair Rory with Rex but I think in the coming weeks we will get a few nuggets of why the organization made the move it did.
Until then, sign or don’t don’t sign, check out Halo Space and all the other cool blogs that make up the Halosphere and I recall seeing Jose on that 400 HR Game of Vlad’s thinking “IS HE PIMPING A BLOG WITH THAT SIGN?”
Hi Rev
Heck yeah i pimped a whole bunch of blogs about that sign. Even got the chance to meet Vladdy, and he said he recognized me from the sign. Now everywhere i go even kids and families ask me for my signature. Its great. Again thank you so much,I’ve always loved your page and quoted a few of your blogs to the fans on my page =) [of course attaching the link to your page so they knew where to find you.] =)
I’ve also told my fellow fans on my page to come check you out…. so don’t be surprised if you get quite a few new members :-)

Sweet Jesus. Seven emoticons in 2 posts. I think the “space” he refers to is between his ears.

No.
Bring Rex back as an Angels Ambassador. Have him down on the field visiting with players and meeting with the fans in the stands. Give him a radio show. Just keep him off play-by-play/color duties.
1 line siggy line because I was asked nicely. Go Angels! helpfindscottajob@gmail.com
HELL YES!
wow you guys are def in the minority I must say… Every site ive been too, Ive seen nothing but positive cooments about bringing back Rex and Steve. To the guy who says petiotions never work should probably move to Russia. I appreciate the love for the team and entertainment that both these guys brought to the team and would ratherwatch with the sound off from now on then to hear Rory and Goobers akward silence during crucial plays and weird Dean Chance man love references… Im sure people will comment on my stupid handle but whatever fellas I could care less. Go Angels!! Fan since 82 here
argh
I should spell check before I post next time either way you guys should look around on these fan sites and youll see what I mean. Everyones entitled to their own opinions and OURS WILL BE HEARD!
Firing our Halos goodwill ambassador is akin to the Doyers axing the fat man.
He was OUR homer. Bring back Hud now!
I would sign it.
The thought of listening to Mark Gubicza for an entire season makes me wish I was Marlee Matlin.
I've got nothing.

SEE
880 folks @ Oc registers fan poll upset about the firing compared to 362 who are"glad they are gone, proves my point.
but what does it mean?
So next year there is no Hud/Phyz…. what happens?
If the team wins more than 90 games and contends thru mid-September there will not be any change to attendance or teevee ratings no matter who is or is not broadcasting the games.
40,000 fans at a game speak louder than 880 answering a poll who may be unhappy but, seriously, nobody is turning in their Angels hats for a Dodgers or Padres cap. If Hud becomes an announcer for the D-Backs, nobody who misses him so much is going to abandon their love of the Angels for the AZ-Snakes.
NO
NO, now wish they took Mota with them.

Just isn't right
Part of me keeps holding out hope that somehow we might get Rex back and pair him with Rory.
But then Rex went and posted at his Facebook profile, and although this isn’t his first public statement of dignified resignation, it still feels like the defining crush of all hope:
“Going to miss the booth. Thanks for the good times. Cheer em loud at the big A next year”

"Death to the opposition!" - Commander Worf, First Baseman: The Niners
Ye gods, no
To Phys, anyway. Hud could be corny at times, but compared to, say, Hawk Harrelson, John Sterling or Suzyn Waldman, he was far easier on the ears. I still say Hud should get some kind of ambassador role in the FO.
